I'm feeling pretty good with the whole Rengar VS Kha'Zix
Rengar balance changes? Nice. http://imgur.com/Rs5fZ71

Kha'Zix only has bonus Attack Damage ratios, so wouldn't Deadman's Plate, Black Cleaver, or Titanic Hydra (--> late into Ravenous Hydra) be better than Sterak's Gage? You can tie Deadman's Plate to Maw of Malmortius (buying either of them first depending on whom you're up against) to get a healthy amount of Resistances while still having damage.
P.s.: Though, judging by your record, I'm sure Sterak's is great on him. It's cheaper than other items, too.
Black cleaver works, but you don't get a lot of auto's off late game. Dead mans plate is good if you are really behind and is a solid pick if you build more defensively. Titanic isnt very good because you cant activate it mid jump like hydra, which is why i usually only get a tiamat and move on (active is only important thing for my style and his clears are fine). Steraks is good for burst protection, which you really need if you are building damage. Maw does the same thing but for AP damage, which is why you see me sometimes build that after tiamat if they have a lot of AP.
I thought Cleaver stacked as long as the damage was physical? I've always heard the 6th stack proc and only auto'd about three times.
Death's Dance is pretty good as the healing you get from an isolated Q is pretty high. I've seen this item replace Hydra even though my clear times are reduced slightly you get more healing from it.
While I know DD doesn't negate damage could be strong with a Steraks to avoid the true damage it returns to you? The damage itself would count towards the shield proc then the rest would be negated by said shield.
Ya black cleaver works with all physical dmg (from what I know) but you would need auto's to get the full use of it, which is why it isn't as practical. Plus without the shield from steraks I always feel to squishy because their is no buffer for the burst, just more health as cannon fodder. It might just be because of my feel for it, but i always estimate damage based on having my steraks, preference i guess.
Sounds fair to me. Though with a steraks would you also run a sheen item to gain the benefits of having higher base AD? With Spike Rack being close to useless since it was repeatedly hit with the nerf bat the upgrade doesn't seem all that desirable over 6 seconds of stealth which if played right would equate to 3 empowered auto's with passive + sheen procs each time. In turn I see that it would synergise more with Cleaver.
Theorycrafting is a wonderful thing of course, I doubt the enemy will let you hit them three times with the ult procs :p
Ooh the sheen right. Sounds like something I'll test later. They did buff the explosion radius on e, but I still upgrade r last.
normal - blind pick
personally i'm a real big fan of getting a sheen item on kha. makes the autos you throw out between your Qs add up. it also doesn't hurt to get a little extra mana on him
Do you build it into trinity or gauntlet? I feel like it would be a good idea with gauntlet if they have an AD heavy team, but trinity doesnt sound to good on him.
depends on the situation
usually because the armor and extra mana does help, but you'll get more single-target damage out of
if that's what you need
A true Kha'Zix main adapts to any meta, is that how it goes?
Hmm...
A kha build tanky after Warriors/Cleaver when I vs'd him. Think it was deadman's/tabis/forgot what else it could be. Basically, he favored the tanky + damage, while I went pure damage. We won, but he was a nuisance with those tanky items and my lack of a lw.
