Twitch Needs Some Changes
passive, Deadly Venom, deals true damage per second while an enemy is afflicted with his poison. On top of this, his 'E' Contaminate damages all enemies within 1200 range afflicted with Deadly Venom based on how many stacks are applied. The combo of his 'Q' Ambush, which gives him an attack speed bonus once he is no longer invisible, 'W' Venom Cask, and 'E' once he has the stacks has become a big problem for me recently. I believe this needs to be changed in some way shape or form so that he is more of an ADC with damage over time instead of an assassin burster with range. Here are my suggestions;

CHANGE THE DAMAGE OF PASSIVE TO MAGIC DAMAGE. Make the damage something that can be built against AND maybe raise the damage per second. The fact that there is nothing you can do to reduce the damage per second that his passive does makes him over powered when facing him with a squishy champion and makes him a big lane bully early game. Additionally, he shouldn't have true damage as a ranged champ for his basic attacks AND be able to apply these stacks to all enemy champs at the same time. The only other ranged champ who has true damage for basic attacks is
but her stacks are limited to 3 (not 6), they don't deal the true damage until the third stack is applied, only one champ at a time can have these stacks, and the true damage is based off of max health which means it's only a problem when building tank. Vayne's damage output vs Twitch's damage output just from their passive true damage, Vayne's is higher but she can only deal it to one champ at a time. If you put
on Twitch then his poison stacks on all targets hit at the same time meaning his 2v1 or 3v1 potential is better than Vayne. Every other champ with true damage for their basic attacks is melee which I believe is fair since they have to completely engage in order to get the damage. I don't believe this change will drastically reduce his damage output potential since his main damage will still be AD. Enemies will have to choose which resist is more important or build both to counter his kit. -
CHANGE DAMAGE SCALING OF CONTAMINATE TO AP. Currently Twitch's 'E' stacks off 25% bonus AD and 20% AP. I think this should be changed to 30% AP only! The fact that he can build only AD and still get increased damage from his poison stacks is overpowered. Champions like
have to build hybrid in order to increase their poison damage so Twitch should have to make this choice as well. Twitch also has range advantage over Teemo so he can get his stacks easier. I think the damage dealt should remain AD so that his main output is still AD and so MR only effects his passive damage. -
CONTAMINATE WILL NOT PROC ON CHAMPS IN RANGE IF NOT VISIBLE. The current range of Twitch's contaminate is 1200 and while I would prefer this to be reduced overall I understand that champs such as
with her rend have higher damage potential on a non skill shot ability. As a compromise I think that contaminate should not proc inside the range if the champ is not visible to Twitch or an Ally. This will allow enemies to back up under turret or dive into a bush or jungle to try and evade this burst damage. This means Twitch will have to be a bit more aggressive with his follow up to ensure his damage. Currently, I think he is able to get too much damage off without enough risk on his part.
Once Twitch buys
, even if he is behind, he can win most trades even in 2v1 or 3v1 as long as he engages while invisible to proc the attack speed bonus. I feel like these changes will make Twitch more of an ADC and reduce his burst damage but still maintain his overall damage output potential as well as balance his damage output to risk ratios. It will make trades with him a bit easier early game instead of being so lane bullied you end up farming under turret and he still kills you.
I am open to and welcome ANY tips as to what items to buy or what strategies to use against him with his current kit to make him easier to lane against both as ADC and Support.
