Increased Player Harassment
I have been playing League for almost a year now and recently there have been an overwhelming increase of harassment. It seems to me that the higher my level, the more common it becomes. Of course I have used the reporting system when these situations arise but, from what I can tell, it doesn't seem to be working anymore. I have had several games where I told the player I was going to report them and they didn't care, they said they would just make a new account when that one was taken away from them. I have only played one game where when I told the player I wold report them they apologized and were fine the rest of the game. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] Once people realized that they can just create a new account and start over they don't care about being reported. I would think that this type of mentality would happen on low level accounts not level 28, 29 and 30. That seems like a lot of experience points, champions, skins, and money to throw away just to be able to harass people. [zombie-brand-facepalm]
This has become a real problem for me as it has been difficult to enjoy the game as much as I used to. I have to worry about people fighting over lanes, threatening to feed if they don't get the lane they want, players pointing fingers at others blaming them for losing objectives, and many many more ridiculous scenarios. I can't even try out a hybrid build on Lucian (because his long skill shot deals magic damage and I like using that one more than his shorter skill shot but he still needs a lot of AD for his other moves and basic attacks) without getting harassed about not knowing how to play properly. This game used to be so much fun, it still is when you get decent team mates, but I think that people have forgotten that League, for me at least, is just a game. If you want to make a career out of this or your ego and competitive nature are so big that you can't stand to lose then play ranked or something. If you want to be that serious about a game then go ahead, you do you, but when I go into a Normal Blind Pick game I am looking for a good game with decent people, not a cutthroat bash fest*[slayer-jinx-unamused]* .
Please let me know if anyone else has encountered this sudden increase in harassment between players recently and if anyone has a solution or any suggestions. Is Draft Pick better? Are there modes that anyone finds to have more friendly people playing?
