Skill order on Sona

Sorry but I refuse to max Q when it clearly doesn't do damage unless you Q + auto (possibly with her passive on), which is something I don't always do because most of the time they outrade me (Sona is very squishy). Not to mention her AA range, you have to risk a lot and find a perfect positioning for something that barely does damage. Isn't maxing W and then E better at this point? Maxing E with her would also allow you to not be obliged to buy boots. Was about to ask Riot if they could buff Q and nerf E, but some Sona players really love to be Sonic after like 3 ranks on E (you literally can spam her E after level 11). I'm just a silver brat btw, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

1 point in E to allow yourself to get more passive stacks 2 points on W in early game to increase the shield by 100% and the heal by almost ~55% 2 points in Q to increase the damage done by almost 100% and 50% the damage dealt on AA, by the way if you empower you and your ADC you're going to be the one out-trading them if you use the W shield

at lvl 6 it's going to be Q:2 W:2 E:1 R:1

after that you keep maxing Q and then if teamfights start you stop maxing Q and go for W

you keep thinking that Q does no damage, but for a no-target spell with 850 range (which outrange anything) it does quite a lot of damage (320 damage if you hit 2 people) and if you follow by an AA (with your ADC using your Q) it does an other 120 damage, for a total of 440 damage

like you said it's risky, but that's why you should use your W

i feel like you're going to try to trade people

you have 2 ways to trade, either you think the adc won't respond: you just press Q+AA or you think the adc will actually trade with you, then you press W, use an AA, then Q+AA again

I'm not a sona main(only level 6), but I think hSona x Rubick's suggestions are very on point.

If the lane gets tough, you can always use only Q to poke. Its mana cost is very low, and the damage is decent for a non-dodgable spell. Plus you get gold from spellthief.

But generally you want to trade with your passive, that's her main laning power.

anyone who isnt going full ap sona is playing sona wrong

she is an ap assassin and should be played ADC or mid lane

Actually full ap Sona sounds exactly like a troll pick but I once tried her and was able to burst down adc like a LeBlanc does with W + E, heals were pretty strong too lol
