Orianna's Q range is one of the smallest ranges for a mage, and most of her abilities depend on hitting her q, but she is so squishy that against certain champs, you can't even hit them with the q from a safe distance. Most of the other short range mage spells are on champs that have some sort of gap closer

Also the word gutted implies something being destroyed, she was brought in line, not gutted.

Automatis1 votesNo, she was gutted. I've played Orianna for her entire timeline and she was gutted. She got a series of nerfs (damage and range) that left her in a really bad state ~Sept 11 and they rebuffed her in July 12 to roughly where she is now with the lowered global cooldown and medium range Q. It for sure wasn't a post-stun pre-rework eve gutting but she was pretty weak for that time.
