We've had different high-voted topics about this for months, with 0 response. There's really no reason from Riot's point of view to allow us to refund any more items.
It's sad, but it really shouldn't be surprising coming from a company selling bland recolors for 10$.
I saw someone make an interesting post about why Riot won't give refunds back. Apparently it will cost a lost in profits if someone commits to buying a skin and then refunds it this process can be reused over and over ( say three per season ) again for better skin ( more preferred skin) as opposed to just buy each skin separately it doesn't seem like much to an individual player but if everyone is taking advantage of it it will eventually build up I think they should give more warning to just help scarce the refunds are. My friend by Garen what is free 400 RP then refunded him when he found out he can get Karen for free through Twitter
im not sure i buy the argument that it would cut into profits.
after all, you already paid for the RP. So if you get refunded for a skin/champion, you get refunded RP. It's not like they're giving you real money back. You get refunded RP which you will then spend on a different skin/champion/ etc. anyway.
i don't see we don't get at least 1 new refund per season. just seems to be at the misery of many people for no real gain anywhere.
That moment Valve and EA have better refund policies than whatever the fuck riot has lol. Sad days.
They might one day reset refunds, but don't expect systematic refunds until the day League starts to go under ala Runescape.
There's no reason for it. On the player side it's literally just freebies. You can't accidentally use a refund, they're supposed to be for large mistakes or accidental purchases. People just use them as try before you buy so why in the hell would Riot support that.
Been waiting for more refunds so long that I almost bought all the champs xD.
I believe that they should allow us to have a try before you buy system for skins, say make the skin cost half price to rent it for say 3 days then if we like it after the 3 days the next time we come on it asks us "You're Three Day trial is over, would you like to pay off the remaining balance on this skin to keep it?" That way we don't get trapped into crappy skins we don't like, we get to pay a little less to make sure we want what we're buying and Rito gets their money grabs
