Volibear, is too strong.

Volibear in season 5 is incredibly strong, with the stat buffs and all of that. He will become a strong pick soon, that will dominate everything. He has everything someone wants, a very strong sustain passive, a gap closer, a attackspeed buildup and huge AD damage nuke, and a powerful slow. On top of that he has his own statikk shiv!

Volibear has to be toned down, with just blade of the ruin king and tanky items he deals tons of damage while being so tanky. Volibear's passive regeneration should be toned down by a quarter, while making Volibear's base movement speed lower. His base health should be toned down by 27, and base health regeneration is halved.

That's not to ing a champ down, that's making them unviable.

Where are you seeing a huge AD nuke? If you're talking about his W, it scales off his bonus health, not off his AD. It just deals a lot of damage because it's an execute.

Volibear is one of my favorite jungles, and honestly he's not anywhere near as overpowered as you're trying to make him out to be. The "gap closer" you're mentioning is only halfway decent when you're chasing someone directly, and even then anyone with an MS boost can usually get away. The slow on his E is NOT that strong, just enough to keep someone in range for a few more autos or to line up for a flip, and his ult doesn't deal that much damage across a team. Comparing it to Static Shiv is just inaccurate, considering Static Shiv will deal upwards of 300 or 400 if it crits on a team.

The suggests you're making aren't going to "tone him down" they'll make him halfway unviable. Reduce his MS anymore and he won't be able to chase anyone even with his Q up. Reduce his passive regen and he won't be able to sustain as well in fights where that passive can help make plays.

If you're having that much of an issue, consider stacking penetration or reduction items, and build a BoRK of your own. Take Ignite if you have to, since it'll cut his passive's regen in half, and if you're playing an AP champ buy Morellonomicon for the Grievous Wounds debuff.

You want to nerf a champ who's horribly outclassed in every role he plays, is a relic of the metagolem era that Riot has left behind, has a wholly lackluster ult, and is only a niche pick now because he has sustain in the new jungle?

Yeah, gonna have to disagree.

To be fair, anytime I play Voli I usually do quite well. It's pretty easy to get fed off assists, your team just has to know when to follow up. He's not horribly outclassed, he's just unique to handle. There's nothing quite like going ham on a 3v1 and walking away with a triple.

For real. I main Voli in the jungle. When I have ult and have a shiv, there's my triple right there. He based off of decision making when to use his abilities and when to not waste that wonderful Q.

I've never tried building Shiv on him. The only damage item I ever get is the Skirmisher/Devourer and what used to be the Feral Flare. After that just tank, tank, and more tank. Maybe a Frozen Mallet if I feel like making sure no one can get away once I've got them.

My Voli? The kiteable melee of all kiteable melees? Is this for real? After Kalista (an anti-melee) gets released, on top of that? I am truly speechless.

He can be pretty strong right now, but not like "OMG SO OP PLEASE NERF BEAR!"
