Preventing Snowballing

I've been thinking, I feel everyone can agree that snowballing ruins games in some sort of way. Some champs snow ball easier, while some require more farm than other champs etc. etc. First blood already gets the snow ball tumbling in a solo kill. 400g and 50% exp is way too much especially in Top and Mid. One way i feel this could be fixed in general is by implementing a system that goes like this ( When a player dies, for 1min. or 2min. after he or she respawns they will not be worth experience or gold to the killer if they die within the buff timer. ) that would make it so the enemy can obviously still get ahead in farm and towers if someone is feeding but it wont necessarily allow them to snow ball insanely fast because they wont be getting as much gold or experience off the kills if they keep killing the same person over and over. - I feel that the debuff would only apply to the person who got the kill but his teammates can still kill that person and get the gold. Hope that makes sense. I feel it would make people go on tilt a lot less and it would overall make the game more balanced. What do you guys think? It will making camping less of a thing and promote junglers ganking other lanes instead of zeroing in on just one or so. (Dyrus would be proud.)

That's a silly idea. Why punish someone for getting a kill? If the person getting the kill is the better player, you would just be prolonging the inevitable.

Players need to realize, if they're worried about getting snowballed/give up first blood, they need to play back/passive and just farm. The only way to prevent snowballing is stop over extending and generally trying to make #lcsbigplays.

True, however the timer wouldnt be so long so that the enemy cant get more kills, he could still snow ball. if it was 1min. or 2min. thats about 30sec. in lane of not being worth anything. Since u have to walk back to lane and stuff like that. I'm thinking more of champions not the actual player skill. Some champs are insanely crazy with early first blood or items. This is only an idea, the debuff doesnt have to be worth no experience or gold, it could just be worth no gold but still get exp. or worth no exp and still get gold...

Luck is part of the game, and getting killed once should not prevent you from doing anything in the game though.

I'm a support main so, im speaking out for people in other lanes. In my bracket its rather horrible to see your teammate get countered hard by a riven (for example) and then that first blood goes and from there we all know how crazy her dmg can get early game(this is just an example)so for example, riven mid vs katarina mid, i feel you could only play so safe without completely falling behind from either missing out on cs and getting zoned, or die over and over again from a champ that both out scales and out maneuvers you in every way.

keep in mind as well, that for first blood 400g and 50% experience is probably going to give you a level. That is a pretty big power spike, along with the free cs that they end up getting while the player is dead.

Well, what I understand is that counterpicks are just sometime too strong. Ideally, if you get counterpicked hard, you always should be able to lane, at least a little... Not all champs are able to do this, that's also why LCS champion pool is so restricted.

Why is this a horrible idea?

1-it takes away the point of being good at this game 2-it stalls out the game longer then it needs to be 3-it Makes any champion who resembles Ryze the most O.P champion in the game 4-All early and mid game power spike champions are now ruined 5-75 percent of leagues strats are now gone The list still goes on

you arent reading the fine print, read the other comments i've posted. The buff wouldnt last insanely long, and you would still be snow balling just not super easily. Sometimes its not about whose better but some counters in some cases. Everyone has that feeding game some more than others of course. When two people are close in skill, it boils down to the champion in most cases. The buff wouldnt have to be both exp and gold, it could be either or. Its just an idea.

Nah, Riot is PRO-Snowball. The community wanted matches to end faster, snowballing is how that happens. Enjoy.

First blood => "Open mid."

Generally, Snowballing should happen because the enemy is turning their kills into objectives.

Of coarse if the enemies are snowballing too quickly, then perhaps the Objectives are worth too much, or simply go down too quickly.
