Is diamond really 2% of the player base? O_o

Not that I'm complaining but starting from sliver 1 on flex, I match up with a lot of plats and diamond players. Like A LOT. Just feels off that the 2% is so commonly match at a sliver 1 flex games. I guess flex ignores the rankings since my opponent sometimes a platinum on flex rank. It's so much harder compare to my solo Q platinum games sometimes. Is it because I'm high elo so I get to match up with these higher elos (Highest is diamond 1 in my games) or it just literally match me with anyone that is gold+ randomly? It is a good practice ground I guess to see more of a difference between me and diamonds.

diamonds and plats typically play alot more than your average joe that plays league sometimes on the weekends with friends.

Well same for low elo, right? Well when I'm hard stuck in sliver I play a crazy amount...

well yeah, i just mean that there are alot of players that dont play alot. I have friends that dont play league too often.

i wouldnt be surpised to see that alot of players havent even tried flex queue lol, which would be why the matchmaking can be weird sometimes

You're right. Just checked the ranked ladder on my elo that list a bunch of summoners and they have a lot of wins. Most low elo don't play as much games when you check the list.

Diamond is really just 2% of players who have incredible luck not to get shit teams every match.

I have played with Diamonds I have played against Diamonds

In both cases my scores have been really good. And in some cases my scores have been really bad.

Regardless it has been no different then playing with players in my own elo.

In the end its a team game and comes down how your team reacts to their team.

xdddddddddddddddddd

I've gotten diamond on 2 accounts though, and boosters are a thing? QT has like 4 accounts in challenger lol

Do you think maybe being good and being able to pick up some slack from your teammates is what it takes to climb in solo queue?

There is a big difference in macro, micro, and execution that you wouldnt be able to tell if you dont know what it is

Well damn. challenger being the top 200 is a damn lie than if these Challenger are capable of getting their smurfs to challenger. It's basically like the top 150 than.. man they're taking up the spaces lol.

It is also about abusing meta picks.

I mean if you're going to act like a meme you shouldn't be surprised when people call you out.

Keep in mind that rank and MMR are separate. People who may have been really good and got diamond last season (and thus have the border) might not be as good from lack of practice this season.

That can also happen over the course of a single season. You might get diamond early on and then not play much for awhile; if you did that, you could easily get matched against gold/high silver players the few times you play.

I'm not saying the matchmaking is perfect, but I rarely see someone clearly better than everyone in their games unless they are pretty clearly smurfing. There's a skill difference between those ranks, make no mistake.
