Make Supports more Unique

There is obviously a reason why majority of people would prefer to play any other role than Support. Which in return, causes the Ranked Queue to be as long as 10 minutes or even longer. So how about giving supports certain things that other roles don't have? For example give each support the same but interesting Passive in addition to their current passive? Or give them unique items that allow the players in certain zone to flash unlimited times for some seconds (based on Nexus Siege item)

Basically make Supports more unique, I want to pick Fill and not be disappointed that I get Support.

Everytime we get a good support that can do stuff people take it to a different lane then everyone elses starts complaining about how this support is too oppressive and they end up nerfed too much.

The issue isn't with the support champions, but the role. Well, there isn't a problem with the role itself, it's just that the community favours a position where they can get fed and carry. The support role will probably remain unpopular until there are changes to the play style (significant ones, at that).

There are enough supports that can do different jobs, like engaging very good, or peeling...or poking, healing, making their alies stronger. Just find the type of support that you prefer, and you will enjoy playing supports.

Ya something like this wouldn't work. If it was something on a champion then they'll be played in other roles (like Sona/lulu). If it was an item (unless they made it like jungles) then the other champions/lane will take it, case in point first queen claim. It was an awesome item for supports but heavily abused by mid laners (mages) and got nerf.
