Annie changes are a NERF

Increasing cooldown and lowering def of e means less stuns, health, tibbers and consequently, less damage.

it's a buff if you have hands, a nerf if you can only faceroll.

It also means she isn't so slow she's always the last one to the party.

P.S. not like having 625 auto attack range on Annie isn't broken or anything.

I do not agree with Illabethe. Yes she can poke others and get her mana refunded, but then again, what about Xerath? Xerath has longer poke and mana sustain.

If we look at the newest Annie change, it is a massive nerf!

And yes, now I will try and enlighten you guys.

  • Annie has her damage reduction, because she is one of the squishiest mages in the game otherwise. If she doesn't use her E in time, she will instant die like any other mage. That is why, that the damage reduction is so crucial for her. This massive damage reduction nerf is gonna punish Annie on lane, but also late game, and she won't be able to become a champion at any point in the game due to this.

  • The new movement speed buff is a nice Quality Life feature, but that is all it is. The movement speed buff doesn't provide Annie with anything, since it isn't a dash nor a good movement speed buff, that they gave her. It's alright.

  • Due to new movement speed buff on Annie's E, it will courage people to use her E to engage people with, if you have your stun combo up. This is bad, since you lose your escape tool, as you use it, meaning, that you won't be able to do anything about the incoming damage, escape with her nor dual people.

  • Lastly, if Riot was gonna nerf her damage reduction, they should at least have given her more armor and magic resistance, since it would make up for the missing defense, that she currently is lacking.

All in all, this new change to Annie, that Riot decided to make, has actually made Annie one of the worst champions in the game, since I cannot imagine seeing any point in playing her. She isn't an early game champion anymore, nor is she mid or late. If you do manage to get ahead with her, you will be focused and pop like Yuumi.

I honestly do not know, what Riot was thinking, when they made this "change" to Annie, but I can honestly speaking say, that I have lost all respect for them. I have had fun and raging moments at Riot's balancing team for 10 years now, but I have always managed to calm down and look at the bigger picture. Unfortunately, I cannot tell myself, that this is okay, anymore. I am legitimate pissed and confused at the same time, and I really hope, that Riot gives us an explanation rather than: "Giving Annie more pep in her step in lane..."

I don't think they're meant to be a buff, as much as a shift in her gameplay. That's why they gave all of the compensation nerfs to keep it from making her stupidly strong.
