Why is my MMR so miserably high?
So I created a new account after my old one I had 4+ years ago had everything erased on it(skins, champs, level, icons... I wasn't happy and riot did nothing about it). I decided to just play Co-op until I was high enough to play aram, then from there I would grind out some champions and try to oil out the rust.
I'm pretty good in aram... I go against gold consistently but we all know aram is nothing compared to SR/TT. And to this day I still haven't played a single PvP SR/TT match and my issue just justifies that.
I decided to buy kat two days ago and I had never played her before. Anywho I decide to go into ascension and play a match, I remembered when Azir was released along with Ascension the last time I had played and I did pretty well in it.... But Immediately I see some guy named "xxxx Katarina"(xxxx since I don't want to name names) on the enemy team with Project: Katarina. Great right? Then I notice 3 players on my team are gold, one silver. Needless to say I learned nothing from that game besides how to get roflstomped and tilted hard after my team decided to say "youre a bot compared to their katarina" "wow you fucking suck" "get good" and going 6/13/~.
So whats the deal? I had the impression that ARAM MMR did not effect the MMR of any other queues? I use ARAM to practice basics for a reason... Now I definitely don't want to try SR/TT because it's impossible to learn when all I can do is "feed" and get "reported" because I'm tilted like its my fault I'm matched up against these dudes that have probably thousands of hours invested in league vs me. And sure I can learn from defeats, that's just fine with me... but its the CRUSHING defeats on my part that I can't learn from and if that's all I'm going to get by playing Ascension/SR/TT than I might as well not play league anymore.
Just so you guys can know a little more about me, I've been playing league since season 2. I remember when sooo many champions were just released and totally broken... Akali/Kat was in every match, Annie was actually competitive.. Kennen was a pain... Shit I remember when lee sin was released and nobody knew how to make him useful. So much changed.. Anyway I played on that account for about 2 years until that computer couldn't keep up: 15 frames on average, 5 frames in a teamfight = impossible. I waited roughly 2 more years until I had gotten a "newer" computer to find that account was reset. So I had made my second account for season 4, spent around a year on it... computer couldn't run it anymore. Fast forward to today I have a reliable computer with 30+ frames and that's when I found out my second account was also reset which really irritated me considering Riot acted like I made it up.
I could careless about the money I had spent previously years ago, all I want to do is improve my skillset by facing enemies that are on equal footing with me. But so far I cant play anything besides ARAM or Co:op unless I want to get tilted to oblivion and consider deleting League forever. What can I do to change this? Do I have to make another account and just start out playing SR and pray my cursed MMR resets?
I'm good at some things(such as farming cs and jungling dispite the massive jungle changes but that's easy to get used to), decent in others(map awareness, etc), and horrid in the rest(getting the combos off stupid fast and I get them wrong often, making game breaking mistakes, etc.)... Another thing is the item changes. I just don't understand how that Darkbar or whatever red lethality tier 3 item can do such insane damage. Stoneplate is new to me.. Wheres abbysal septar? SOO many changes with the items makes my builds incompetent and outdated at times... I just don't know anymore
