I was watching Hauntzer play gnar and was having this feeling like, " this kid probably doesnt even want to play gnar but they made him play it because enemy top is kennen." Hauntzer got fucked up in that lane. Whole time I'm thinking, wouldn't urgot be better than gnar? Any thoughts ?
Gnar was blind picked that match and is generally considered to be one of the safest blind picks. Kennen is considered one of if not the hardest counter pick in the matchup. Gnar is also one of Hauntzer's best legacy picks with an excellent lifetime win percentage. Urgot has a significantly more narrow successful game play pattern and would have been a much worse pick given the team composition.
Gnar's Mega form's CC is a lot more useful for hitting more people which benefit's him better in teamfights. Urgot's only hard CC is a single target spell, better for dueling.
