So I tried the new Talisman support item today...

I have mixed feelings about it. I like having new stats on the item because before it gave no actual in combat stats. Basically it was a big lane sustain item where you wanted to passive farm into mid game.

Now it has armor on it and some move speed when you're near turrets... but it builds out of raptor cloakitem 2053 .

If I'm already building raptor cloak at that stage it's usually just easier to transition straight into Zzrot portal and the portal tends to be a better overall item that also gives MR.

So, basically at end of early game where you are getting a sight stone you land up with this choice in build paths.

Option 1: Finish the talisman with the raptor cloak and get the team speed boost active.

Option 2: Just combine your sight stone with the first part of the talisman item 3096 to get the item 2302 Eye of Oasis and then just build the Zzrot anyways.

Most times option 2 is more preferable except in the rare instance you really need a hard engage on your talisman (and you're not intending to simply build righteous glory as an alternative) so the change in build path actually doesn't alter anything except that if I'm not mistaken the new ancient coin has less regeneration.

Anyone else having any luck with it?

I would say it is all around better as an item and this is the best version since it was called Shurelya's Reverie.

For those wh odo not know what the item was like Philosopher's Stone + Kindlegem = Shurelya's Reverie (2100) +250 health +10 health regeneration +10 mana regeneration +10% cooldown reduction Active: Unique: Neraby champions gain 40% movement speed for 3 seconds. 60 second cooldown. 600 range.

It was popular because of the gold gen given by the Philosopher's Stone
