The Mastery Changes Failed

Now before I start, let me say that the direction of the new Masteries is good. Making us pick from x or y is fun and exciting. However, their execution was poorly done.

Let point out a big problem. Some Keystones are good generally, and not specific enough for their Core Identity. A major example of this is Thunderlord's Decree. It isn't specific enough. When you think about this Keystone; you think about going all-in and instantly blowing all your CDs, but you can just auto 3 times and get the proc anyways. This kind of takes out it's core identity and makes it good overall for a lot of people.

Now look at how most of the Keystones don't even feel good to use. Thunderlord's Decree and Grasp of the Undying probably are the best feeling Keystones to use. You get that satisfying visual that lets you know that your Keystone is doing work. Not many of the Keystones have that. The others are just boring and you don't really notice the work they do even though they are doing work.

I don't even want to go over how bad the Ferocity Tree is up until the last 2 tiers. This tree overall feels underwhelming especially compared to the other trees. Let's not mention the fact that two of it's Keystones are "Autoattack and get something". The Cunning Tree and Resolve Tree are pretty good. However, the Resolve Tree needs a different Keystone that isn't Strength of Ages.

Here some ideas to help some Keystones feel better and are more unique to themselves. Making the player have bigger decisions:

Warlord's Bloodlust: A visual to show that you have the Attack Speed on.
Fervor of Battle: Maybe make this a keystone focusing on destroying towers and give it a visual on-hit when hitting towers.
Thunderlord's Decree: Make it so DOTs and Autos cannot proc it alone. So you have to use different things for each stack. (Ezreal uses Q and gets a stack for the proc, but another Q cannot give another stack.)
Windspeaker's Blessing: Possibly make a very transparent kind of shield on healed allies. To show that they have the armor on them.

This will make Keystones all satisfying to use and they are specific enough for the player to make bigger decisions on what they actually want to do with their Keystone.
