@riot changes that would massively reduce toxicity and increase enjoyment

i cant see why a single player would disagree with my ideas. my ideas increase enjoyment by increasing communication easily among players.

my idea also reduces toxicity by allowing us to "streamline" certain communications that might make someone get angry if you try to communicate it to them normally, but because the game "streamlines" the communication it reduces the toxicity and personal nature of the communication

first i will say all my ideas. then i will explain why the ideas are good for the game

  1. a "self muted mode". this mode is optional and you select it in champ select. you may or may not self mute yourself. its a choice. when you select to self mute you can still talk in champ select but in game you are self muted. you can "check" and "uncheck" the self mute box any time in champ select if you change your mind. once the game starts your choice cant be changed. the self mute box is "unchecked" by default when you enter a new champ select. "self muted" mode means you can read what your allies type, but you cannot type anything at all. your allies can see who on the team is self muted. but you cannot see which enemies have self muted themself (unless, of course, their allies allchat to reveal the information. which would be a rare situation)

the self mute mode is extremely helpful at increasing the winrate of people like me who encounter lots of toxic people in ranked. the self mute mode will use human psychology to make those toxic people play "better". i know it sounds crazy. but heres how it works

now personally. i dont care that those people are toxic. but them being toxic makes me lose more games because instead of actually playing the game, they trashtalk me and expect me to talk back and they get mad when i dont respond to them and speak to whatever object of the past they want me to talk about

HOWEVER with the self mute mode, those toxic players would actually be "less toxic" and they would play better and try to win more. Why is this? because when those toxic people see that i self muted myself, it completely ends the argument and it ends the friction of the interaction. they will for a second say "oh. thats right. hes self muted." and i heavily heavily predict with all my knowledge of human social tendency that almost all toxic players when they see that i am self muted will have their inner demons suppressed and they will immediately focus on playing and winning the game instead of talking.

A small percentage of toxic players will keep being toxic when they see that i am self muted. However, i predict over 95% of toxic players will at the end of the day "perform better" and "play better" when i am using the self mute option. Which makes it a EXTREME BENEFIT to "me" (the non toxic player)

this self mute mode is a EXTREME BENEFIT to non toxic players. and it allows non toxic players to increase winrate and win much more games by taking advantage of the self mute option

  1. a "ganks desired" status that you can set while playing the game. simply while playing the game you press a simple easy button that sets your status to "red" or "green" or "yellow". if your status is "red" it tells your jungler you currently want him to stay out of your lane and you do not want ganks or help even if your under attack. if your status is "green" it tells your jungler you currently would like help. a status of "yellow" tells your jungler you dont care about help but he may come if he sees a good play. anyone on the team can press a simple "tab" button (probly make the button something other than tab tho) to see a list of all teammates and next to their picture there is a simple RED or GREEN or YELLOW box indicating which status they currently are in. this feature is mostly to help alot during laning phase. after laning phase the feature is kind of useless. your status box will start as YELLOW every game

sometimes if i dont want ganks and i tell that to my jungler. he says "alright bro camping your lane" and ruins my lane. i greatly believe this option would allow me to kindly tell my junglers i dont want ganks in a way that streamlines communication. as such my junglers wont get toxic when i ask for no ganks, they will simply hit the "status menu" and see that i dont want help and they will stay out of my lane

  1. new special pings added to the game. make a new "special ping menu". how it works is you press a simple button, and a list of these pings come up, then you leftclick the ping you want then you leftclick the location to send that ping. very fast, simple, and easy

add the following pings

pings for a bait. bait at this location

pings bait has failed. back out

pings bait the objective. do not start objective. bait it

pings leave dragon. do not start dragon. very risky. dont dragon

pings lets dragon. we should do dragon. start dragon

pings leave baron. do not start baron. very risky. dont baron

pings lets baron. we should do baron. start baron

pings lets group now to siege. we should group to siege

pings lets splitpush to win. our siege is weak. do not group. splitpush splitmap tactics

pings farm it out. dont siege. play defensive. our way to win is we have to farm more

pings our way to win is picks. our 5v5 is weak. dont group. we cant siege. try to bait picks. kite back and run from fights

pings large wave building. someone pls farm this wave

pings on way to farm wave

  1. mute pings option. due to much more pings that may be be abused. a very simple button can be pressed to bring up a mute menu. it shows all players in the game and 2 boxes next to their names allow you to mute CHAT and/or PINGS from the person

You put alot of thought into this clearly but i feel like a self mute button discourages communication which is what the games all about. And the fact that you can mute other players in game freely works well. Gank desired status would help but i think that simplifies things too much and riot wouldnt go for it. I agree with the fact that we definitly need a couple more pings like enemy spotted or ward here etc. Riot is looking to bring voice chat later on into the new client which will be very exciting though!
