Silver 4/5 is actually harder than Silver 1/2

I've played games on both sides for a while (S4/5 and S1/2). Although S1/2 is a higher division, I find that games in S4/5 are actually harder. Anyone else find this to be the case?

There is such MASSIVE skill fluctuation in S4/5 it makes it difficult to find a consistent play style that will work. Your KDA will be higher than in S1/2 but in terms of actually WINNING, it seems harder. Also, it feels like you MUST hard carry every other game or else it will be over.

By contrast, in S1/2 you can just "do your job" and more than half the time you will neatly fit into the puzzle of a decent team that will win. Just small things like CS-ing better than your lane opponent can actually translate into a win (whereas in S4/5, it takes a lot more to change the bad waters).

S1/2 is more about tailoring your play style around whoever you notice is the best player on the team and doing a competent job, whereas S4/5 is more about having to be the best player to win most of the time.

Up until Platinum, it will all be nonsense. This is why people should understand that you ARE NOT high elo if you can get placed into that elo within your first 10/10 placements on that account. People always say if you're low elo you deserve to be, yeah well what if I just got carried N placed into gold within my 10 placement matches, does that mean I deserve to be there? lmfao

By design the elo system puts everyone where they belong, if you end up in Gold by accident the system will drop you down to where you belong as you keep playing ranked

I'm in plat, and I still see nonsense on a near-consistent basis; it doesn't change. [zombie-nunu-bummed]

For me, silver 1/2 is the worst. Even harder than gold.

Low silver is where people who are actually new to the game get placed, it does make it slightly worse than higher silver. It is still definitely solo carriable though
