I just dealt with a pretty good Ekko, and man he is bursty mid-late game.

I don't claim to be the most skilled player, but where I am I usually pubstomp the enemy mid laner. 8 or 9 out of 10 times i win lane.

I pubstomped an enemy Ekko last night as Zed, going about 4-0 in laning phase, but about 15 minutes after laning phase he absolutely wrecked me and my duo partner, with a Q, E combo that one-shot him and he then almost killed me with his ult.

Was it Riot's intention for Ekko' to be able to one-shot people mid and late game? If so then I guess that is fine, but his kit is very hard to avoid when he E's to you.

His ult is fine, maybe a mana cost or more cooldown would be good, but it's fine. But this "sustained burst assassin" i'm starting to see from good ekko players is scary.

Luden's Bane as a build?

Yes, that pretty much devestated me. The Q did hella damage on its first hit with the luden's proc, then he E'd to me and walked away and i was like "yeah ok lol" then the Q flew backwards, procing the passive, and finished off the reminaing like 50% of my health.

Did you buy extra MR?

Otherwise, Zed will have around 1.5k HP at level 13, and between 46 and 58 MR (the latter with full flat MR runes). Giving you 2190 to 2370 eHP against magic damage when no pen is involved.

Ekko with Luden's/Lichbane/Doran's will have roughly 250 AP. Level 13 Q/E max 21/9/0 Ekko with Luden's/Lichbane has 1488.69 magic damage between his both hits of his Q, his E and his passive and 99 physical damage from that one E'd auto. Assuming he had Sorc's, MPen reds and the 6% from Masteries, you have between 20 and 32 MR left, meaning between 1800 and 1980 eHP. Ergo, his full combo leaves you with 17% to 25% of your HP from the magic damage alone. A bit lower if you account for the physical damage, too.
