Anyone Else Think Ashe's Passive Should Just...

Although the whole crit into guaranteed damage is unique, since the crit changes I think it would be better for her if they removed it from her passive. Like it still slows and slows more if she crits, but just let her crit normally. That way she could actually rush Stormrazor, which is what crit ADCs are supposed to do, and would maybe be in a better spot because of it. The I.E. changes also nerfed her because of how it used to interact with her passive. Unique interactions with stats always seem to be problematic when it comes to item changes and additions (see Jhin) so I just think that in Ashe's case where it's not really essential or core to her gameplay, it should just be removed.

I don't disagree completely with looking into removing the crit damage modifier passive, but many people hate stormrazor and want it removed and I personally agree with them. So I dont think your reasoning for the change is valid.

Well Stormrazor isn't the reason I want it to happen, but since it's in the game I just used it as a reason that it should happen.

I think that the crit conversion is fine on Ashe, usually you rush Bork anyways so you get another slow in your kit and can shred people pretty fast with it, use Bork to deal a bunch of damage to a high current HP target then use your q to shred them more and kill them. Ashe is a utility ADC and not really a crit adc. You see Ashe building crit a lot because that is what syncs with her passive, she already shreds a lot with q and bork, so adding actual crits on top will make her way more damage focus and obnoxious. Not only will she be slowing you for a lot, she can then burst you down more from full hp because of Bork and crit.

I like Ashe the way she is, she feels really balanced with very clear strengths and weaknesses so I don’t think getting rid of her crit conversion would be worth it, I feel like it would make the game more broken and add more unneeded problems that we don’t need.

ashe's passive should be the standard for marksmen crit damage calculation- not the slow obviously. stormrazor is just aids right now and needs hard adjustments

Is Ashe really in that bad of a spot though? She's at ~50% WR with ~5% play rate. Sure, she's not exactly the absolute most meta pick but she seems fairly balanced atm

Yeah but she's kinda in a weird spot build wise. She's a crit adc that rushes BotRK and doesn't get much of a bonus from her passive early on since she doesn't rush crit anymore. I just think the crit changes were an overall nerf to her and I think they could probably put her in a good place and remove the chance of any other unintended issues related to crit item changes happening in the future by removing the unique crit scaling.

I don’t really think so build wise, the Bork rush helps you deal more damage to those slowed from your passive which are those that you AA. And you also get another slow with Cutlass. The crit conversion in her passive is more for utility, so to me it doesn’t matter if you rush crit item or Bork as your first item. Having a bigger slow is good against targets without dashes or other gapclosers, but I feel like the reason people rush Bork is because there are so many dashes that a crit enhanced slow from Ashe passive won’t matter that much.

And also in order for crit to matter you need AD for it to increase, which is why Bork is a good rush because it gives some AD and also adds more physical damage to your AAs.
