Yasuo top has the highest win rate for yasuo
With the Mage update, mages are in a much better spot than they used to, making Yasuo mid countered really easily.
You probably wrote this fresh out of a game where you had a Yasuo on your team who went top and fed, but please don't turn your 1-time recent experiences as fact and instead look up winrates and other information you would need to know before blatantly telling people to not go Yasuo top with the reason "he doesnt have true damage or combos". There's plenty of champions who go top who don't really have any combos or true damage, like Maokai. Yasuo E>Q is a combo, and a very good one at that. His E>Q>Flash>R is also a combo - a very good one. His Q>E is a combo, etc.. Also, keep in mind he has 50% armor pen after he's ulted for quite a long time. Maokai E>W>Q (i think?) is a combo, and the most profitable of his. His 3 abilities (outside of ult) can be used in a variety of combinations, much like Yasuo. They both don't have true damage, yet still keep a stable foothold in Top Lane.
The idea is that if you enjoy playing something, you're entitled to be allowed to play it. I've seen many great Yasuo's who can deal with disadvantageous match-ups by knowing their champion extensively. Consider Arkadata or even N3AC3Y, where they one-trick Yasuo into whatever match-up comes their way .. how did they get good at their champ without practicing it?
They rarely seem to contribute to my team comps in this role so seconded. You may like it but I bet 4 other people in the game don't.
But yasuo top is played more than yasuo mid sooooo...
blind picking top lane yasuo is a bad idea. counterpicking with him isn't a bad idea.
Um hello? Yasuo can beat riven ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q5M5sfZRZo

I'm not sure what you are implying. But, he did beat her at level 2 and that's all there is to it.
Funnily enough, Fiora/Irelia/Riven are my 3 top laners.
I never lost against a yasuo top and thats saying something tbh
Funny how both riven and irelia actually aren't too terrible of matchups for yasuo. The only really bad one of the 3 is Fiora, but she is a terror to nearly any melee champion
mage update told him to go top and stay there.
You mention three champs and yet none of those are terrible matchups for a strong yas player. Irelia literally can't ever touch a good yas, Riven can only farm in what becomes a farm lane, Fiora has to riposte the knock up that will result in an ult and NONE of the other whirlwinds or she ends up dead...
And yet you never mention his hardest counter:
who basically auto wins the lane post bamis cinder or codex. Particularly bamis cinder = free lane. (Pretty much true for any melee champ in a yasuo lane matchup)
I would recommend you not give players advice on what NOT to play when you don't even understand the matchups.
I almost never see a yasuo top win lane and it don't happen against me

If you only ever see poor yasuo players this shouldn't surprise you, he is a complicated champion. You aren't going to find good players in any role on any champ in silver games when you have bronze 1 MMR unless it happens to be a smurf playing his placement matches mate.
You could effectively recommend that no one play at all if they are that unskilled and it would be basically the same recommendation as you make here.
I mean, I don't think he's a strong top, he's not, and I'm not disqualifying your premise. But the way it is presented is very poor, lacks constructive input, and is generally what we consider on the boards a "shitpost".
There are plenty of relevant issues you could present and don't present them, such as his unfavorable matchups in the current game state meta, the lack of consistent CC he brings to the table for a role that generally has a good array of CC for later stage teamfights, the lack of tankiness he provides to a team comp, or his feast or famine style that is usually counterproductive in top lane (see irelia, Riven, and Fiora for prime examples of champions who tend to be less than successful when behind). Instead you present a very poor argument and make a standard board faux pau in that your post doesn't actually highlight any reason to not take him top lane and instead presents merely the viewpoint of a low level player who is rather unskilled and try to make it seem reasonable to all players.
There's nothing wrong with saying you don't like yas as a top laner, but you have to give real and valid reasons. Not just jibberish that other low level players may take as good advice and then apply it in an improper fashion because they too misunderstand what makes him a lackluster top laner. In essense, if you want to provide the community a service you have to actually provide them said service instead of just spout nonsense that any half intelligent person can see is nonsense.
No offense intended mate, just trying to help you figure out where your post went wrong and why it is tough to take seriously.
