The absolute worst thing about Riot is the minority they're listening to

SJW's, "safe space" players, and "ban toxic chat" banner bearers are the reason why the company ISN'T fully focused on the actual gameplay itself. They aren't the majority, they're just the loudest voice online right now. They're the same type of people that HAD to make sure you KNEW Varus was gay and the same type of people that celebrate Star Wars plot holes for the sake of "diversity"

I'm not saying I support people typing racist things over and over etc, but catering to people who whine about it past the mute button has done sooooo much harm to this community.

Basically we're legitimizing "hurt feelings" as a reason to take action. The problem is that "hurt feelings" will always be subjective, whereas policing troll behavior and focusing gameplay balance should've ALWAYS been a higher priority because it impacts ALL of us.

You can't mute the silent player who trolls and expect the rift to get "less toxic"

But Nooooooooo, lets pour our money in resources to help young adults who cry when 12 year olds push your buttons because its too easy to push them lol

Honestly, if I were to get in a lobby and start saying nonsense about women or the people in my team, muting completely stops action from reaching the offended. If they play the game and happen to be an asshole from my perspective it doesn't really matter in the long run as long as they play and not troll (if you're flaming AND trolling I still care more that you're removed for trolling.)

Lets be real, the chat changes have done NOTHING to discourage troll behavior OR toxic chat. Lol people just use less obvious words and phrases to say "you suck get out of my game". Its the same thing in different phrasing. You squash one way to type something they'll just come up with another. Or not type anything and soft troll you "because you don't deserve the win".

I had hope that the chat system would change things, but it hasn't. Now we're all dodging trolls AND language police.

If this isn't changed, you might as well remove chat all together and let us get on with emote spamming

Why, exactly, do you think riots gameplay team and their player behavior team would share members or resources?

I just feel that realistically there is a set cap for how much $ riot gives any team, they pay the salary's of the team members and that's where it stops. I just don't think people working for riot experience some odd $ increase/decrease arbitrarily decided by higherups. I have seen this argument a few times and im just not getting it, ya don't dump further money into a team that's established, You could make it a larger team and that's gonna cost $ but its not something that's gonna actively take $ away from other teams.

I just don't see how they would be struggling to allocate resources because of any 1 independent team, like If they are that strapped for their budget they would have to be focused on something other then Player behavior .

yes, we need to rely on those 4$ stickers to chat like millennials or elderly women who use them to convey emotion because words are too sophisticated-> :D <-

I highly "approve" your idea

but I highly "disapprove" your point

I agree with part of what you say but not all. There should be some focus on the flaming. Just because there is a mute button doesnt mean people that get flamed should have to use it.

Example......if someone was flaming yeah you could mute them......but then you wont see anything they say.......so what if that person told their team "jungle botside." And he didnt ping when he said it.........you would not have that information if you didnt see them pop on the map that split second they were spotted.

As far as the rest...yes you are correct....and its only because Riot is not strict enough with their punishments or how quick they enforce them.

Here is an example.......

https://prnt.sc/jbl3zz https://prnt.sc/jbl479 https://prnt.sc/jbl4h2

Now I came across this person in one of my games awhile ago.....He would not respond to team and his plays were very questionable. Multiple times engaging 1v3, 1v4.......GO TO spots we danger pinged to stay away from. Every time he died he would just type "IM TRYING" in the chat...even when no one said anything to him. But when pings for assistance were made he would go to the opposite side of the map. Smiting buffs away from people trying to get them. He was obviously trolling and inting. So then after the game I looked at his match history I seen what I just posted. No matter what role he got he took smite for most games and sometimes exhaust and he fed every game.

Like I said obvious trolling and inting to anyone that was in his games or sees this but because he never flamed anyone it was allowed. The only thing he would type in chat was "IM TRYING." That itself is a sign he knew he would not be punished for what he was doing. After weeks of looking up his account to see if he was still playing ..he was...and continued to troll like this for weeks.

So yeah..Riot really doesnt care about trolling.
