Would it be at all possible to play Elise mid?

before she was nerfed loads sure. You can still play her, just sub optimal and not balanced for mid.

She used to be a mid laner, I don't see why not. She wouldn't be the best option, but it could work.

You can do it if you really want to. But it's wasting her early power since she's great at ganking but terrible at clearing waves and hard to team fight later in the game. And in mid lane, if you can't push the wave faster than your opponent you don't get lane priority and you can't roam without falling behind/ losing tower.

Sure it can be done, if that's all you're asking for. Keeping in mind, so can Nami mid be done or Garen Mid or Vayne mid. Anything can be done. I don't even know why you're asking such a dumb question since you only want to know if it can be done instead if its in fact "good" or "decent" or if it should be done.

Did you just say asking a question is dumb? I'm realitively new to this game so I'm trying to learn more stuff about it. One of Elise's roles is mage so I'm curious as to whether or not she can be played mid or not. I don't care if it's particularly strong, I just want to know if it's where she can be played. In my opinion, a question isn't dumb if it brings you knowledge you didn't have before.

No. I said your question was dumb. You asked can she do something. And then when people explain that it she can but its not optimal, you just go,"No, I just wanted to know if she could. I don't care if its good or not." Ergo, your question is stupid because obviously ANYTHING can be done. :/ Being new to the game doesn't excuse asking a question and denying information that would answer said question more effectively. If you're ACTUALLY new to the game, you'd want to hear more information on why or why not something does or doesn't work or isn't optimal. >.> Because like I said, literally ANYONE can go mid. Its just a matter of,"Are they better somewhere else and why?"

The first thing you said about me saying "No I just wanted to know if she could. I don't care if its good or not." is false. I didn't respond to most of the posts on this thread, I actually only responded to yours and 2 more. In one response, I said "Hm. I wonder why they stopped balancing her mid." In the second, I said "I don't really care if it's useful midlane or not. I'm curious as to whether or not it's possible to play her mid." When I say "it", I'm referring to her attack speed buff. So, no, I didn't deny anyone's information.

And also, I know ANYONE can go mid. But most of those character's aren't classified as mages. And since she is classified as a mage I'm curious as to whether she can be played mid as a mage (albeit as a weak mage, like Fiddlesticks ), or if she can't be played mid (as in she literally can't be played mid. She has no tools that would be effective mid.)

Lastly, my question isn't "is she better somewhere else and why?'' My question is "Can she be played mid lane (even if it's not the most efficient like middlesticks)"?

P.S. What does this mean? >.> I've seen it somewhere else once before, but I never asked the person who used it what it meant. The information would be appreciated.

P.S.S Why do I always enjoy arguing about trivial topics such as "whether or not a question about whether or not a video game character can be played in a virtual lane or not is stupid or not?" I should really find a better outlet for debating besides the League boards. =_=

I use her as a mid laner all the time, with really good results. So she is a great mid laner.

Just know her kit and you can.

Her E cast in human form (exploding spider) will jump to the target you Q in spider form. So E > R > Q... with practice, the timing on this alone can make her a hefty threat in lane. Nobody sees the spider till it jumps on them. It's mostly just a game of patience. Wait until you can exploit an enemy's mistake. She got a few things going, like spiderlings and E in her spider form allow her to dodge abilities. (spiderlings soak skillshots) In midlane her rappel can get her to raptors if used right.

What really kills her midlane potential is that she doesn't have that big bump at level 6. She doesn't gain an extra nuke spell that others often rely on for their kills. Her Q in both forms relies on the enemy's health level, so timing is crucial and range can be a bit of a nuisance, putting you in threat range to land them. The on-hit regen is debatable in it's application and power, but the overall ability her spiderlings bring to pushing can be crucial and powerful enough.

Definitely you'd be best to run her with a push composition.
