if a snare is only supposed to hold a person in place then why am i unable to cast abilities or auto attack the person in my face

Snares don't prevent autoing (entanglement does), and it only stops ability use of spells that move your champion

Yep some Abilities require movement even tho they shouldnt

I bet the OP got hit with a Morg Q as Darius and was wondering why he couldn't ult. Because that's happened to me plenty of times, and it was super frustrating until I learned that Darius ult is technically a dash. (??????)

Should put this in the bugs section with video proof, i do remember seeing riot mention fixing snares not allowing auto attacks in a recent patch.

You may need to specify whose Snare you got hit by? Like, Amumu's is the only special one I know of that stops Autos, and any ability that has a movement requirement will be rendered uncastable by a Snare.

Snares prevent movement abilities, as is their purpose.
