So does ranked even mean anything anymore?

I mean solo queue is gone and that idea of "i got here by being good" kinda went with it. Now its pretty much you are ranked based on how many premades can you get or have to go against, or if you're still trying to solo you're ranked off of how many feeders, afkers, booster, smurfs, or boosted animals you will get... So this brings me to the question does ranked even mean anything anymore or mean what it used to?

I was watching a master tier player talk about the same thing and how all the low level bronze-plat players think that their position on the ladder means that's where their skill level is when in actuality it doesn't mean anything with all of Riots new changes around ranked. So just thought id pop this on here and see what the forum community thinks.

I'm guessing most the people that agree it means nothing have already quit the game and therefore are no longer on the forums but I'm posting this none the less lol. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Eh I I don't think dynamic queue affects as much as you'd think. The biggest issue is smurfing. While I've been ranking up this account there is someone plat + also smurfing in at least 70% of my games.

This seems to stop around mid gold but silver and low gold was a nightmare even for me.

That said the ranking system is still accurate. If you are good enough to climb you will climb. If you aren't you won't. Playing WITH a pre made does not mean you are boosted. It can sometimes, but I think team play is an entirely different style of league. The enemy team is ALSO coordinated.

Surely kids are being "dynamic boosted" but people were always boosted and it didn't negate the ranked system. Unless you are striving for high diamond -challenger there is very little difference this season besides pure frustration in some games(which I sympathize with, sometimes your pre made is impossible to carry and their pre made is godly)

I'm near constantly getting matched with 4 mans in Silver 5-3 tiers. It's beyond frustrating to face a coordinated team while watching your team waffle about flailing at the walls.

I've also had more disconnected players and trolls lately than I had in Season 2.

That's saying a lot.

If someone gets boosted to diamond, and you get to diamond legit, does it mean your rank means nothing?
