Why would I need blue essence to unlock a mastery level? What sort of mastery does that prove?
This is dumb.

Dedication is the given reason. Either to earn enough chests/key fragments to get blue essence that way, or to earn enough ip to buy mystery coins (once those are released).

Release like solo Q? Sand box mode? Tribunal? =T I guess they'll keep nickeling and diming ppl for hext tec chests.
Well unlike the other things, they have given a somewhat more precise release date than 'soon' or 'eventually' or similar. Which is to say, they've said they'll be out sometime the next patch, or possibly the one after it.

Soloq - 2 weeks to a month or two. from dynamic queue release.
I don't see a solo q, do you?
"Rito were are the RP mastery coins? " "Golly jee, maybe next patch!"
The best one is inverted camera. http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=32241&page=1#post358084 "It's coming back!"
Read the instructions. The higher masteries are a combination of mastery and commitment. I can respect that. It will make more sense once you can buy blue essence with IP.
Mastery? Psh, Riot doesn't care about that. This is just another way to squeeze money out of people. If people want to have that fancy mastery thing badly enough, they'll pay through the nose to buy chests.
