How is AP Tristana not toxic to the gameplay, when clearly she is. @Riot
-Note this is a long read, there is a tl;dr at the end but to understand fully what the issue is about and the points being made, I highly advice reading the entire thing, sorry for the inconvenience but this is important.-
AP Tris is literally just another AP Yi scenario, other than her main damage output doesn't get a reset after she gets a kill, but her jump which still does a huge amount of damage for a reset-able jump, which also slows. Many games I have made it to late game as a adc against AP tris. So everyone full build, I have Banshee Veil (also due to the fact guardian angel is already popped), the fact she alone can deleted me, I have absolute 0 counter play to her burst unless I buy a zhonya (which is stupid cause the ap ratio on most adc doesn't go towards a skill they need to use to damage). Honestly even before late game, just post 6 Tris with DFG, and if laning phase is still going on; she can still delete either mid or the adc/support freely and the worst part about it, its not like shes in real danger. Usually the jump and ult alone can kill instantly, if not maybe 2 ticks of E will and then she gets the reset and jumps away to safety. Also the fact her ult also pushes back the target by a lot of range simply says no retaliation. Only counter play towards it is the fact that she's pretty much single target, unless she manage to hit more than just the initial target with her ult, and possibly multiple jumps since she can get resets for assist as well, that and her weak laning phase presence which isn't as weak as one might think, if played properly. So the only real counter play is literally making sure she's shut down early AND mid game. But that's not how counter-play was intended to work. Counter play is something that's passively built-in like how slow Morgana's Q travel, or staying together to avoid Isolation from Kha's Q. Her kit doesn't even have real counter play, besides not dying to deny her jump reset, which is horrible counter play. Her kit forces players to buy either a a lot of MR and health (which again is a problem for adcs because for them to fulfill their role, most of their Items has to be damage.) or zhonyas which in my opinion is the only item that can really deny her insane burst damage. Sure maybe a cleanse item like QSS or Mikaels can remove the DoT from her E, that is if you manage to survive the initial burst. Some of you might just say "Well buy a banshee veil or something" Yeah, I bought a banshee veil, that's a big nope. Either a enemy can just pop your shield, forcing you to wait a near min cd for it to come back, or all she has to do is to sacrifice either her DFG or E to pop the shield, as she only really need to land her jump, AA for lich bane proc and ult to delete. But at the end, being forced to buy items specifically to counter someone isn't healthy counter play as last noted by you Riot. Plus whats tris true identity?
After actually looking at Tris kit, Ratios on her abilities, and seeing how the kit is implemented. What exactly is her true role? You might say ADC, if so why does her W has a 80% AP ratio, or her E activate has a 100% AP ratio? And her ult has 150% ap Ratio!? Also all her damaging Abilities has a high base damage. That cries for her being a AP mage/assassin, however why does her Q gives a huge attack speed steroid, or her Passive increase her attack range? Or that her W allows safe escape, which is also emphasized because her Ult being a knock-back. That's a really good kit for a ADC emphasis on late game dominance. Yes I know there's people like Ezreal and Corki who can also play as a AP Mage carry, the difference is that their kit mechanics don't change entirely. Ezreal will still be focused on high mobility, Poke damage, and burst. For Corki, same thing but a little less emphasis high burst damage and mobility, but more emphasis on poke damage. Both their AP, and AD Kit is identical to each other, but have difference emphasis on what their ability focus is about. Tris on the other hand is completely different. There's no real correlation between her AD kit, or AP kit. It just doesn't fit, nor gives a healthy identity to her. So I ask why is this okay? I see you addressed AP Yi along time ago, which destroyed AP Yi, but at the end, made Mastery Yi identity healthy, also brought more healthy game play.
So please address this Riot.

- Her kit and Identity needs to be thought over and made healthy, Her kit gives an unhealthy identity on what she is supposed to be (ADC to heart or APC). Which also needs to be addressed.
