Riot needs to rework Silence and other CC effects.
Riot needs to define clearly what 'Silence' is supposed to mean. Likewise for snare/root/stun etc.
Silence is supposed to disable champion abilities, or that is what is implied to be the desired effect.
Instead we have a super-disable that is crippling to not only user abilities, but also some Summoner Spells, and also ALL ITEMS.
In Dota, that effect of disabling all abilities AND items is referred to as a 'Doom' mechanic. As such, I'll be using the proper name of 'Doom' when refering to 'Doom' or League of Legend's 'Silence' mechanic.
The effect of Silence should ONLY affect champion abilities, ALL SUMMONER SPELLS, or NO SUMMONER SPELLS. Currently it disables Flash and Teleport.
It should NOT affect any items that the person has access to. Currently it can only be cleansed by Quicksilver Sash/Mercurial Scimitar.
Root/Snare effects also have some issues with champions who have skills that can dash or move them, such as Lee Sin's Safeguard. Unfortunately for the Blind Monk, if he is prevented from moving, there is a glaring issue with being unable to shield himself due to how the ability functions. This should be addressed however Riot may need to do it.
Blind/Miss/Dodge effects should have a way to be negated, like Sword of the Divine used to exist. Likewise champions like Rek'Sai and Lee Sin should NOT be affected by blind mechanics.
CC needs to be CLEARLY DEFINED and have COHESIVE THOUGHT put into it.
If the reason why things be like it do because of Riot's limitations with the League software, then it's a pretty clear indicator that they need to change gears and work toward improving/rebuilding the whole game overall, since we still have old gremlins of gameplay lurking in the game since beta. Like Poppy's charge.
