Is it just me or is Ahri secret OP?

or maybe not so secret OP.

She does everything you could want in a mid laner. She's got good poke, safety, mobility, CC, high burst, great roam, good wave clear, sustain, very few if any bad matchups. You take a decent risk being in lane against her because 1 charm = half or more of your HP, death if she has ult and ignite. Once she gets ahead she can start a fight from across the lane whenever she wants. If you try and play aggressive or get a gank on her she can just ult away and even without it Q gives her decent move speed.

Her Q is the single most overloaded ability in the game. Wave clear true damage mobility poke with sustain attached? That's... kind of ridiculous writing it out.

She's not blatantly OP like some but I think she's so incredibly well rounded, safe, and able to do everything you want out of a mid laner that it actually pushes her above the rest significantly. Anyone else agree with me?

She's a jack-of-all-trades champ, really. Decent damage, decent waveclear, decent mobility, decent CC, etc. She doesn't really excel at anything, but she can do everything.

Ahri has always been secret cancer. She was actually outright open OP until a few patches back when the marksmen changes made everyone forget but she has been there and is still stupid.

She is pretty balanced as a champion that is able to handle most match-ups. She reminds me as being similar to Lux in that she is skill shot dependent and is pretty balanced in most scenarios.

She is in a good spot right now and the overall skill of the opponent and the Ahri determines the outcome in the lane. If the opponent can't dodge then he or she will have a really rough laning phase, but if the Ahri can't hit skill shots then they will just be a farm bot.

but even as a farmbot, Ahri has one of the strongest lategames, and all she needs late game is to land 1 charm. She isn't snowball reliant like Zed or LB are.

Skarner E would like a word with you... slow, marks, stun, bonus damage, cooldown modified, varying missile speed....

ahri is weak on the damage spectrum, and her reliability is tied in to her charm, dodge the charm and you're golden, overall shes safe, but she doesn't excel in any one category, shes just proficient in many. she needs a second rotation to kill something by herself.

i rate her 8/10 overall, there are better picks, but ahri is literally cant go wrong with, proof.

Once she has items she can kill you in one rotation although yeah, pre 6 she need a couple of openings, although she can chip you down with Q poke.

There's not really many champions that can outright kill you in a single rotation other than maybe fizz and talon.

Thank goodness she's weak. She's tilt inducing enough. She pokes with Q until she can land a charm. And if you have any chance of killing her she ults away unless you have hard cc.

She's so annoying but yeah she's not so secret op. Nobody plays her much cause her damage is meh since she has so much in her kit.

Ahri is still one of the most popular/played mages....

She's not banned much, however, because while she can be annoying she can be easily manageable to deal with.

the charm has a giant ass hitbox and next to no cast animation. its not the easiest thing to dodge

Well Ahri is one of our most Balanced Allrounders, to be honest - yes she does everything, but she's not best in a certain role. That makes her a pretty solid blind pick, but she basicly counters nothing.

She lacks DMG compared to other Mids, her CC is quite easy to dodge and to deal full DMG she needs to go all in.

Just an overall good Champ. ^^

I feel the same. Mostly because of her ulti. She deals enough damage with high mobility , has CC, sustain, true damage. What you could possibly wish for more? She is currently in my hate list on the 3rd place, right after Lee and Zed.

But aside from purely game related hating reasons, like champion favoritism and excess mobility, i hate her for 2 more things. First - she is kinda official face of league of legends. Thats so blatant and unoriginal. I blame this one to tencent and to the marketing. League has tons of awesome champions, and this bitch is getting featured all the time. Alongside with thresh, who i also find boring to play and boring thematically. Second - this bitch should have died in a New Dawn video. She did nothing useful at all. Darius should have sliced her to pieces. And it would be much better ending. I decided to specify this because its when my hatred actually started being a thing.

New Dawn was pretty accurate to Ahri. Gets caught, runs away. Finally gets a gank at the end, ults again and gets all the credit for just running away the whole match.

Honestly this is one of the champs that disgust me the most in this game. When laning against her, you're on her terms, because you can't kill her if you engage first, you have to wait for her blow her ult on you and if you're still alive after that, you can then counter.

Your jg can't help ever as she will just ult away.

Exactly my problem with her too. It's always on her terms. Can't engage on her, she can engage on you, constantly at risk of being charmed. Unless you somehow dominated her in the first 3 levels and somehow got an advantage you can't ever really force anything on her.

Ahri has just remained strong since the beginning of season 5 but never really nerfed. Instead they buffed other mid laners that overshadowed her arguably overloaded kit .

sure they ended up better than me at the end but that's cus i was lee singa mid and not some other mage that could help their team

I cant stand playing against Ahri. I ban her whenever i go mid because I'd rather deal with Zed over Ahri. It's no secret shes too strong, just gotta wait for her to be played a few games on the pro scene before she gets the nerfs she needs.

Ahri isn't OP, she's just strong against a lot of things people pick purely to shit on midlaners.

She has relatively low damage but her burst combo makes up for it. She doesn't do a lot of damage but she does enough damage and she does it really fast over a good range. But for most of the game you can just use boots to negate a lot of her damage as long as you aren't getting stuck in minions waves.

I feel that lux is pretty good too, she has self peel with her double snare, a shield, and an aoe slow. Same with orianna, except instead of a stun (besides ult I guess (displacement)) she has a speed up and slow in one ability. But then again, Lux, Ahri, and Ori are my favorite mid laners.
