To those saying that Blue Kayne is worse than Red Kayne

My gameplay experience with Kayne is completely different. I think they both fill different roles that require vastly different builds and setups. You actively need to go into a game knowing what kayne you are going, and have a rune page and item build set around that.

If you set up for Blue Kayne with a good leathality page and build item 1412 item 3009 item 3147 item 3814 item 3142 item 3033, then you should be able to EASILY assassinate people. In the games I played as Blue kayne I was able to one shot people at times with only W and Q (hitting both the dash and slash). Not to mention that you can use W while you are inside of a wall, meaning that you can get off some really slick surprise kills where your Q and W hit the target at the same time, as well as your passive damage reapplying ~35% of that.

Blue Kaynes W Q aa ult Q aa combo is super strong with the leathality build, and more than capable of killing squishies. I wish I could say more about this but honestly I just don't understand where the complaints about his kit are coming from, they are just 100% contrary to what I have played so far. If someone has something else to say I'd be more than happy to respond to them in comments because personally I think he is fine where he is right now.

tbh lethality is trash on him. think of rengar full lethality rengar in theory is good but actually straight ad is better. rh plus triforce does more damage then lethality

Sure he can oneshot and his passive is good but he still feels kinda... meh.

Yeah, for someone as edgy as him they kind of took the "flashyness" from his kit and converted it into damage.

I mean they made his kit kind of dull outside of his passive.

Idk, I still find him to be pretty satisfying, I might actually keep him around as a jg pick.

My personal problem with Kayn is that it feels like his kit has lots of downtime when Q-W are used, and if you miss one, the fight is over. Such isn't the same with other AD assassins, or so it seems to me.

Even if Zed misses Q, he still has plenty f damage potential if he ults.

Talon misses W (somehow), his Q still can do massive damage and his ult allows him to recover a lot of the cooldown through waiting in stealth.

Rengar doesn't stop fighting really and still fairly hard to miss his critical bit of damage.

With Kayn if Q or W don't land, you awkwardly are now there with an ADC who will just crit/life steal you to death, or a Mage that'll turn and burst. Or God forbid in a team fight, you just get nuked. The ult is a nice way to dodge a lot of that, but it's also its own death sentence. I know Q has a hilariously low CD, but idk.

I also didn't do amazing my first game as blue Kayn so that could be a reason. And was mid, not jungle. So my opinion probably isn't that valid. But yeah, I do agree blue and red are two different champions in what they do.

Yeah Kayne is just a JG and a TOP laner, he just doesn't have the poke or gap closer to be a mid laner

Typically you want to go Red kayne if you are top, and Blue kayne if you are jg just because you have the ability to use your enhanced E more when you are Blue kayne JG.

I just want to disagree with you about the points you made about assassins because I played quite a bit of them. Zed cannot kill someone without his Q, he can damage them a lot without it, but he cannot kill someone without it. If zed ults and only hits his E and an auto attack he will take half of their hp at most. He cannot get the kill. If talon misses his W he won't do damage. His q does about 200 damage and even if he ults he just wont do damage without his Q. His w is maxed because it does the most damage in his kit until he gets enough leathality for his bleed to start doing work.

Rengar isn't even an assassin anymore, he is just a "squishy" diver at this point. Riot doesn't even think he is an assassin anymore.

Thats the thing with assassins, if they don't land their abilities they cannot assassinate. That is why they are so weak. Control mages like anivia and oriana are better assassins than the assassins in the game because they only have to land 2-3 ranged abilities to kill someone, and most of the time they are impossible to miss.

oh, and the reason Q is on such a low cd is so you can Q right after you ult, it adds a crap ton of damage also since it refreshes blue kayne passive.

My entire problem with Kayn is how lackluster he is early on. Sure he might be an amazing assassin or something, but when I can hardly duel their support, how am I supposed to get my snowball on?

My only success on this champ comes from transforming into Rhaast, and building Trinity>Stoneplate>Titanic>Tank. At least then I'm not one million percent fucked if something goes wrong, and I can generally get 2 or three rotations by using Stoneplate and his ult.
