Well, goodbye to Fiddles.

First off, the passive change makes absolutely no sense at all. It only procs **after ** the enemy takes damage from what the patch notes say (just proved it in a custom game), so that is a huge nerf to E and his damage. Say someone has 30 MR, they take about 76.9% damage. With old Fiddles passive, they would take 83.3%, given 20 MR. This also hurts him in the jungle damaging minions. Also, his E now makes an effort not to hit enemies more than once. Well fuck, there goes a huge chunk of damage. That is now 4 consecutive nerfs, the last 2 being to a champ that isn't even OP in the slightest if the opponent has any idea what counter play is.

You successfully limited the amount of viable junglers by making the jungle too strong for most, and then nerfed Fiddles because he wasn't one of the champs that you wanted to benefit from the jungle. Way to go rito.

Unless I'm mistaken, the MR shred is very specifically set to apply before the damage hits, so his damage should be unchanged.

Patch notes make is seem very much like an after effect. I think if it did that, it would say targeting a champion. Maybe I am reading it wrong, though.

Yeah, the patch notes would imply the opposite. But, somebody did some testing to show how the damage calculated. I'll see if I can find what I saw. Otherwise, it might be worth trying it out yourself in a custom game to see.

I'm not sure how I would test that, honestly. I mean, I cannot go back and give him old passive, can I?

Just a quick toss of Dark Wind would do it, see how the damage number matches up with the MR of the target. I may actually do it myself once I'm home.

So, I went into custom games. My E was supposed to do 72 damage, x 1.5 to minions for a total of 108. It did 107 damage to a minion with 0 MR. This proves that the damage is changed. If the MR shred would have happened before impact (like old passive), the little minion would have had -10 MR, making him take about 1.11 damage, for a total of about 120 damage. This was with no runes, and only a dorians ring, so you can see the effect would be bigger with more AP.

Lol, so they reduced damage on E hard core, and then made it so it tries not to hit the same target.

Actually its just 2 nerfs, one to his passive and the other to his E, they just effect other areas of his gameplay.

Also while im not sure about the passive nerf's impact on his gameplay, i know the E nerf was much needed. Support Fiddelsticks made early game a living hell, you were silenced forever and it did a ton of damage.

4 consecutive nerfs, 2 from this patch and 2 from the other patch. And his Fiddles support was only hell to supports like Morg. I mean, he hasn't been played much in bot lane since the fear changes. He is extremely squishy and pretty much all the popular picks countered him hard bot lane (thresh, leona, nami, janna). Lol, he will get smashed by anyone now bot lane.

The passive nerf will impact his gameplay since it doesn't reduce their MR for first hit damage, like E. So the first hit of E damage was reduced and it doesn't second hit either.

Mmm gotcha probably shoulda mentioned those though.

Not really just morgana, a good fiddles support can just time his harass for when the ADC goes in, there isnt much you can do except run when you are silenced. No he wont get smashed, he still has a silence with long range and a fear to help him survive. Its just now he cant keep 2 people silenced for like 5 seconds each (exaggerating).

The E does hit twice, where does it say it will never bounce to a second target? Yea sure in lane with 10 minions around there is no chance of it hitting twice, but in the jungle the max amount of opponents is 4 (raptors) so i dont think it will effect his jungle all too much.

Again, he is countered by anyone with a decent all in lol. He can also be countered by people with a good ranged poke. I have played a lot of Fiddles, so I like to think I know his strengths/weaknesses pretty well. Like I said, he wasn't even played support after the last nerfs he got, the few people that did play him support definitely won't now. There is literally no reason too.

I mean, the dude was picked/banned 1 time at worlds...better nerf him lmfao.

Also, with no double bounces on E, probably not getting your full ult.
