@Meddler What kind of state would you say Tahm Kench is in, now that the dust has settled?

Now that Tahm's banrate has finally started to drop, it's probably more possible to get an idea of how the nerfs have affected him. It seems like his performance is still all right in the hands of experienced players (going up to 52% on average in plat + with people that have more than 125 games, according to champion.gg) but his performance in the hands of less experienced players is...Pretty abysmal (people with 15-50 games have an average winrate of 44%; and that's for PLAT AND ABOVE players, who already have a pretty high level of mechanical skill). It seems like Ryze's learning curve is more forgiving than TK's, at the moment (again, just going off of champion.gg).

Are there any plans to re-evaluate some of the recent nerfs to tahm, or make adjustments aimed at lowering the skill floor to generally smooth out the gap between high and low level play? I realize that Tahm is regarded by some as "toxic/unfun", but as a support main that enjoys the champion, it's rough to see him in the state he is now.

It may just be that he stays as a "high skill" support champion--but at the moment, Bard, (a mechanically intensive support) actually has a 48% winrate (with an almost 10% playrate, which is interesting), while Tahm is sitting at 45%.

Personally I see that is being perfectly balanced. Its basically no different than Lee. In bad hands he is workable, but fairly crappy. In good hands he is basically unkillable unless he willingly allows himself to die for something.

Tahm in good hands should be causing a lot of chaos and surviving while one in bad hands should be dying. Simple as that.

You have to remember these champs have to be put low or else they will become another Udyr or Tank Ekko sitting at like a 60% winrate. Even in Tahms nerfed state, he still gets an above 50% winrate, that seems pretty damn good.

The attack range nerf was the biggest hit. You often couldn't fight back as 125 range melee fighter vs 200 range Tahm. Now he is OK.

I wish i could upvote this post more. I'm a gold 3 top lane tahm kench main with about 150 games on him in norms and ranked. I think riot nerfed him too hard tbh. since the most recent nerfs, it became very hard to play jungle with him, his mid lane is very hard to do pre6 now, his main role as support took a hit. most high elo players don't even look at this champion anymore. not sure why people are still mad about tahm dealing damage even tho he has no quick mobility like a dash. i think when the mage update hits live, the rocket belt thing will be a very good pickup on tahm. anyways, people shouldn't still be bitching about tahm being unkillable and having damage while assassins are building tank items and have 60% win rate (ekko....)
