Gripe About Invulnerability

Tryndamere gains invulnerability for 5 seconds with R. While his attack damage is permanently increased for that duration the lower his health is. Why does anyone get invulnerability for that long? He can take ~6 turret shots, solo 3 under turret, and make it out before taking any damage under turret! Usually he just takes all the turret shots until his health is low, activates R, and milks that increased AD for 5 eternal seconds. It's not even counter-able by Zhonya's.

Maybe invulnerability longer than 3 seconds should be countered under turret by a massive slow with each turret shot. Or, ya know, just decreasing that seemingly unreasonable duration of invulnerability.

Kayle receives invulnerability for a maximum of 3 seconds. In the same respect, Zhonya's is only 2.5 seconds of invulnerability.

Does anyone have answers as to why he should have that long of a period of invulnerability? Please answer with etiquette.

Well... Kayle ult can actually be a lot stronger because it can be used on allies and it can be used to prevent burst damage it is especially easy with things like Syndra ult with each hit dealing damage so you can easily at least prevent some of the damage... and the ally can still be healed/benefit from life steal

While Tryndamere ult only does anything when he is at 1 hp this means that Tryndamere needs to know the enemy burst... if he doesn't he might get blown up without even using his ult or end up using it too early wasting some of it Also the fact that he is kind of stuck at 1 hp makes life steal kind of useless during ult And the fact that Tryndamere is stuck at 1 hp means that he either needs to fight until he dies or run away before his ult expires forcing him to use some of those 5 seconds to run away And if he doesn't get in melee range because of enemies slows and CC then he doesn't really do much (and his damage is somewhat countered by item 3047 item 3143 though AA damage does scale really with triple scaling AD X AS X Crit)

Tryndamere does not gain invulnerability, he gains the ability to "not die" for a couple of seconds. Meaning he can be cc'ed all the while, kayle's ult also does not state invulnerability, as people shielded by her ult can also be cc'ed. There's a huge difference between being able to be cc'ed and then there being no counterplay to actual invulnerability i.e. fizz's troll pole

Goes to your match history

Enemy Tryndamere 14/0/6

Makes sense

It's strong because it's hard countered by a single root/cc. (exception being rooted while attacking a turret)

If his ult was weakened, the rest of his kit would likely become stronger. It's already pretty bad. Like, he splitpushes and is good at nothing else.
