Welp. At least he had so much attention by Riots over the years. He was heavy meta/must have champ few times for a quite long time. Meanwhile Darius is always the same solo queue ~50% pick that isn't useful in competitive and quite niche during lategame.

Yes mages like Ryze and Azir sit at 43% forever but don't worry....

Riot will never let a bruiser sit low for too long since 80% of the playerbase mains an ADC, AD Assassin, or Bruiser champion and the entire game is designed to cater to them.

Azir and Ryze were problematic ones in balance terms for a long-long time. They just for some reason refuse to finally change their toolkit. Welp I actually know the reason: they just want to keep champions the same as they were loved by community and yet make them viable/balanced. This isn't possible tho. So they hang that low. Darius isn't the same case

Meh. Darius makes the lane boring anyway.

I bet now you feel happy. He can't even hurt people anymore so lane is fucking interesting

Well, I mostly get to go against more interesting champs, at least.

Look, you like Darius? Fine. But that doesn't make him a compelling or interesting champion, it doesn't suddenly make him take a lot of effort to play when he's strong, it doesn't make a low-risk high-reward playstyle a good thing, and it does not mean it's okay that when he's strong it takes unreasonable effort just to survive him in lane with most melee champions, especially when there's no real payoff for doing so.

Oh boy this is so interesting to fight against Maokai Malphite Camille Gimme more of that

There's a reason I ban Maokai.

The other two are flat-out more interesting to play against than Darius.

You can line up as many champions that aren't fun to face as you like.

It will not magically make Darius fun to play against.

Rofl. You suck

Aaaaand here's the bottom line of the argument, which is that there is no argument. Darius is boring when he's strong, because he doesn't outplay people, he outstats them. And in the case of enemy melee champions, there's not a lot they can do to respond when Darius is in a good place. In fact, some of them can literally do nothing against him, because he will win on numbers no matter how they play. And there's not even a tradeoff of skill to have that power, because Darius just isn't that hard to play.

So I might suck, but you're boring.

Runes are the issue, let them balance them first. Plus op.gg states that most Darius' are using Electrocute, when even though the sample size is smaller, those with Grasp are doing better. You sure it's him that is losing or not just people are picking the wrong rune?

Welp I know many darius players that use phase rush as they were supposed to according to this system. Still sucking. Every fucking champ has its special niche. Darius was all about great early game pressure and domination. He still has average-below average late game and from now on bad early game. I cant even call him pick worthy anymore. (Tell me what's the point to pick easy to counter play champ that has overall weak early game and unstable af late)
