Why is yasuo banned in 95% of my games ?

Just wanna know. nothing more my guess is that he requires alot of skill that they are afraid to have a silver yasuo , and all we know low elo yasuos are bad.

  1. He is mostly played by idiots who fail to read patch notes or understand the meta, so they dont understand that he is trash tier curently and still pick him only to feed in the proccess

  2. He is still extremely unfun to play against, its just a design thing

  3. Playing him to his fullest potential still has 0 counterplay, it will always have 0 counterplay, again because his kit is toxic, gamebreaking and needs a rework, which he will get sometime in the future

Zane Zephyr13 votes

Also throw in the fact that he either feeds or gets fed. There's no real in between.

it's the shaco syndrome basically.

the shaco on your team will die to golem the shaco on the enemy team will get a triple kill within 3 minutes of the game

or gets to lategame with 4-15 full build and wrecks

If playing yasuo to his fullest potential has 0 counterplay, why aren't top tier players around the world spamming him? And if the statement above is true, how can yasuo be 'bad' in the current meta?

Because the person who made those statements is an idiot, one assumes.

In solo queue, how can you compare pros and regular play? By that logic, fucking shen is top tier pick and not a 45% win rate trash...

GULAG 4 U1 votes

Top tier players refers to challengers and masters, where... No one bans yasuo.

Yalathanil5 votes

Yeah, it doesn't matter if you are facing a good one or bad, his kit is provides him with so much that it makes you want to scream!

  1. Long range poke that is like Janna but starts faster and does damage.
  2. An annoying shield that procs when ever yo try to poke him down to a reasonable level.
  3. A wall of wind that nullifies most skillshots.
  4. High damage + crits
  5. A mobility dash which a majority of AP midlaners lack.
  6. And finally and ultimate which humiliates you as you are slowly carved to pieces.

Becasue he is toxic to deal with both on your team and on the enemy team.

sobi9997 votes

He is a melee champ who cannot be kited so he can play mid or top. He has great farming potential and even if you push the wave against him, he just gets multiple dashes to poke you and run away with. His ult is situational but also a gap closer and makes him untargetable even under tower for 1 sec and in team fights he can knock up multiple players.

In team fights he just dashes to the back line like no one cares or uses ult and starts to delete squishes. In the wrong hands, he is a hot mess but in the right hands, he is cancer. Lastly he only needs to complete 2 items to be able to start snowballing and laning doesn't even matter to him as he scales insanely mid-late game.

and don't even get me started on his windwall. In higher elo's he is countered by a good team composition and people know that yasuo carries harder than the enemy ADC, so he gets focused. It's not like he is trash in higher elos just not as cancerous as he is in lower elo.

To nutshell what Sobi999 said:

"Yasuo is one of the greatest 'pubstomper' and 'non coordinated' group buster champions and even with the strong nerf to his 'tank yasuo build b.s.' it still has yet to address the issue of his next to constantly undisputed spot as one of the most powerful and super aggravating to go against fighters since he can cover alot of bases and have nothing substantial to balance out what he has."

Illâoi Evê Siôn3 votes

Because he's a nuisance and a pest and he breaks my toys ... Yorick item 3070 Seriously though, his dash kills Yorick's ghouls with one hit. They're just dash fodder for him. That's a bit annoying.

abca983 votes

Don't forget trying to trap him is also useless af since Yasuo can simply dash away.

Handin Out Naps3 votes

Because low elo players like to waste bans instead of learning how to deal with something.

BeatzBoyFTW4 votes

So you would rather waste a ban on an Aatrox, or be that one show-off who waits until the timer hits 0 & wastes a ban?

Luminier1 votes

At least Yasuo is useful in the right hands. Challenger players can't even get Aatrox to work.

Handin Out Naps1 votes

What are you talking about? I didn't understand your replies correlation to what I said. There are op champions that deserve bans, Yasuo definitely isn't one of them.

BeatzBoyFTW2 votes

It's simple. I just don't like dealing with this obnoxious little shit. I rather fight against a fed Vayne than some guy who just spams Q in my face while cs-ing under my own turret.

Handin Out Naps1 votes

So basically you are rephrasing what I said before... lol ok.

BeatzBoyFTW2 votes

Champions that are OP or extremely annoying are two separate meanings. Champions can be either one of them, or can be both at the same time.

In your case, Yasuo isn't Op, but can be extremely unpleasant & annoying to lane against, especially when wanting to play champions like Nautilus or Sion. Darius can be one definition of whom isn't a tad annoying to go against when played right against, but can be really OP if he were fed due to his true damaging dunks

Handin Out Naps1 votes

"Low elo players like to waste bans instead of learning how to deal with stuff", "He is annoying, I don't want to deal with him." Yeah I got it.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

So high elo is known to suck against champions like Aatrox, so people like you ban him instead. Got it. That's your logic, isn't it?

Either that, or I can handle your list of OP champions better than you do.

Handin Out Naps1 votes

...Why would anyone be bad at beating aatrox? Who the hell even bans Aatrox? The champ is bad lol. Your logic is all sorts of fucked up.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

Then I guess my last line about me handling your list of OP champions better than you wins it all then.

Handin Out Naps1 votes

Yeah you probably can deal with Graves, Kha, Talon, Ryze and Quinn considering no one in your elo knows how to abuse them. Shit you have players still banning Zed down there.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes
  • I'm Gold 3 if you're still looking at this outdated ditched Silver account. Was Platinum 5 at S6.

  • I can say there's an average amount of skilled Graves, and Graves whom were easy to rekt on.

  • Kha'zix is a nuisance, that I can agree. But not as nuisance as Yasuo spamming Q at your face.

  • I rarely see people actually playing Talon. If I were to get rekt by one, he deserves a cookie.

  • Ryze is the same situation as Talon. But usually as a tanky top lane main, I can just build some heavy MR to counteract the spells he spits out, or pick Veigar & Gangplank at mid for some safety farming features.

  • Who the fuck is Quinn?

  • I don't see a problem with players banning champions that they can't stand laning against. This isn't LCS where we actually have to copy what the pros were banning. Also implies your kind of bans.

Handin Out Naps1 votes

Gold, silver and bronze is the same. No one in that elo knows how to jg, no one in that elo knows how to abuse roaming. Also ryze is a mid laner. When you think through it I can understand why people ban Yasuo. Considering no one knows how to abuse the actual broken champs, banning what is annoying doesn't seem as incredibly dumb as before.

Calabok2 votes

good. Ban his windy ass.

arcinex2 votes

Because if Yasuo is on your team he'll feed his ass off and if Yasuo is on the other team he can go 0-10 but come mid-late game he starts single-handedly carrying the game or being a nuisance of a split pusher.

Just wanna know. nothing more my guess is that he requires alot of skill that they are afraid to have a silver yasuo , and all we know low elo yasuos are bad.

He's got plenty of gimmicks that let him deal incredibly good damage(double crit chance combos with his E and Q to make it impossible for him to 'miss' a tornado knock up for his R), dash thru every single thing that's a enemy target which lets him reposition relatively easy (plus more move makes him go much faster), W can reakin block ALL enemy projectiles, including a jinx or similar ultimate and that passive 'wind barrier' which lets him get a anti-'first strike' barrier to let him chicken out before someone throws the 2nd poke or dive him hard.

He may 'require' some practice for people to use 'so called properly', but anyone who plays Yasuo usually already knows how to play'm for his Ez mode and when they can't play him properly, then usually he ends up feeding the enemy team 'alot' to ruin a match, sadly most of my encounters is ALWAYS a enemy yasuo on my opponent's team and its never one bad enough to cost a match.

Teemo can salt a match with his annoyance bringing. Xin'Zhao and Jax can utterly middle finger opponents as junglers and hyper carry down turret lanes incredibly fast. Lucian and MF may have the B.S. lethality build plus black cleaver going on still for their damage snowball bringing.

But Yasuo has always been one of the champions who just utterly make most mid lane match ups incredibly unhealthy for people who have to go against a 'good' yasuo player while using a projectile based champion and Yasuo can make use of that same W to even deny farming or let him run up quite fast to the enemy champion and damage poke them with little trouble escaping thanks to his passive, w wind wall and his E dashing.

[slayer-jinx-unamused]

Only few other champions who can bring similar salt is LeeSin and his 'relatively easy jungling and dive and dive escape methods of snowballing. Plus the usual rotation pattern of broken champions thanks to some exploitative gimmick currently in the game (aka Lethality stacking ADCs), that utterly ruin the standard ADC builds make them look garbarge against what basically makes ADCs into 'caster' damage nuke bringers.

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

4 reasons about that -

  1. The Yasuo in your team loses in 80% of your games. Therefore, you get tired of it and so you ban him.

  2. The Yasuo in enemy's team is skilled in 80% of your games.,Therefore, you get tired of it and so you ban him.

3)Banning Yasuo is the only way to ensure you won't see any of your team mates playing him for first time literally AND in jungle.

4)Yasuo players fall in the same category or Riven/Vayne players. They think they are skilled and open their mouth to talk BS about how they are losing the game since. It's almost always others'fault than theirs.

Therefore, you get tired of it and so you ban him.

DuskDaUmbreon2 votes

Because he's obnoxious to fight, like Teemo. But, unlike Teemo, Yasuo is actually a good champion (in the right hands).

It's primarily a combination of his Q, W, and E. The first gives him damned good poke, the second makes it a royal pain to burst him, the third makes it almost impossible to lock him down. It's just too much at once. He doesn't need to be OP, he's just unhealthy to the game.

Laxfan522 votes

i usually play mages. i dont like how one of his ability (windwall) shuts down all of my abilities

Live2LetDie1 votes

he can carry hard if fed which is easy in low elo. Dont really see him ban in higher elo though

seasaltcake1 votes

Because he will either be bird feed if he's on your team or a god on the enemy team, it's a lose lose situation either way.

Craft Zeppelin1 votes

He is feast or famine. He dictates the outcome of the game by himself.

6Sfool1 votes

Except only a bad yasou is ever famine. Even if you stomp him in lane he comes back with farm alone.

DeathBurst1 votes

OP talked about Silver ELO. People in Silver don't know how to farm.

Lauchmelder1 votes

Because once I don't ban him I have to deal with him in my lane. Every. Single. Game.

It's not that he is strong or boring to play against. But I want diversity in my enemy to learn most matchups. Diversity I will never get because Idiots will pick him.

WalkingInACircle1 votes

Because fuck Yasuo.

DunkinNoobs1 votes

Welcome to silver. He's hardly ever banned in Dia+ now.

Eightprism1 votes

Because good or bad, win or lose, people don't want to watch some guy yelling Kawasaki and accidentally dodging skill shots.

Golden Tager X1 votes

People hate Yas, whether on the enemy team or their own.

ItsOrval1 votes

I ask the same thing, because he is so easy to lane against. And if I am not laning against him, I just camp his lane till he tilts and just feeds mid.

Sanctimonious1 votes

It's because low elo yasuo's are like RNG. Few are good, but the good ones stand out and make life hell. Most of the good ones seem to be on the enemy team, while the bad ones are always on your team.

Heck, even in plat and diamond people hate seeing him. He's an anti-fun champion.
