What happened to ranked?

I was able to consistently get my gold easily and just leave it there for the rewards, for the past 3 seasons.

Now everything just seems...too crazy?

I feel like everything is broken, matchmaking has gone out of the window, and we, games are too much decided in the first 5 minutes.
