If games are to be faster paced and end quicker, then Cassiopeia will be in a desperate state
The very concept of
's rework was the idea that she would be the ultimate late game mage, that no one would be able to stand up to her once she had 500 stacks and a good chunk of AP under her belt. I think most people realized that the notion of a 40 minute champion was a little ridiculous, but she did still have a place in league of a little while. It was possible to reach that late game god mode status. She did have some major issues even before Season 6, but she was still viable. If the state of the game moving forward is to reduce the average game time from roughly 30-40 minutes down to 20-30 minutes she will be in one of the worst states that a champion has ever been in. It will be totally unrealistic for her to achieve 500 stacks and couple that with the fact that she has a severe lack of identity; she's a mid range mage, with no mobility, squishy, and has to get fairly close to enemies to deal considerable damage. She just can't work in the game if S6 is going to continue to develop like this.
I will say, she did get nice boost with some of the keystones; both Deathfire Touch and Thunderlord's Decree suit her much better than most other mages. I understand this isn't the final state of S6 and games will likely not snowball out of control like they are now, but it's a worrying trend for a champion who's basis is on reaching a late game god status
