Play ARAMs...

If you're weak mid-late game, you're weak in teamfights most likely. ARAMs are one big teamfight the whole game. Playing ARAMs should teach you how to position in teamfights and what your role is. The downside is you're assigned a random champion so if you're looking for practice in specific roles or anything, that's going to take a while (you also won't often have a standard team comp, nor will your enemy).

If you insist on doing it on the rift: Learn positioning. Are you an ADC? Then what are you doing on the front line? A quick run-down for each role (but these aren't entirely accurate because it depends on what sort of CC and engage the enemy has, etc...) ADC: Back line, maximum poke range. Hit the nearest target available (i.e. you're likely targeting their tanks, not their carries). Assassin: Sides of the fight, try to hide in a bush and dive the enemy ADC when he doesn't have sufficient peel. Execute your combo quickly then use whatever escape you have to get out. Stay out of the fight until your cooldowns come back and try to pick off lower health enemies. Mage: Poke constantly before the fight starts. Peel for your ADC and poke after it starts. Tank: Either engage their ADC/back line, or peel for your own Bruiser: You don't have peel, so just go ham on their back line Support: Depends on who, but you're likely peeling for your ADC (especially when you're like Janna) or engaging the fight and locking down their carries (especially when you're like Leona).

Note when I say ADC, I really mean the biggest damage threat. This is often the ADC. If the enemy ADC has garbage CS and no kills, but they have a Kayle building full on-hit with good CS and kills, Kayle is your priority (except when she's ulted).

Finally, remember this game is ALL about objectives. You want to turn any advantage in to an objective. You get a pick on their jungler? Time for Dragon/Baron. Get a pick on their waveclear? Siege a turret. Get a pick on their main damage? Baron or siege turret. If the enemy team has a better teamfight, splitpush. When splitting, you need to create pressure in both spots. So don't extend top if your 4 allies are clearing a wave at their turret mid and you can't see the enemy. DO split top if your team is pressuring bot lane turret. If they go for the 5v4 your team should disengage and you take top for free then leave. If they send 1 to fight you, you kill them then resume splitting (if you're splitting you should be the strongest 1v1 on the map). If they send 2+ to get you, you either die or run away but your team should take a turret/Baron while they're focusing you.

The biggest thing late game is to know when you have an advantage and know the best way to press it. It's often (always) a lot easier to win a fight at Baron/Dragon than under the enemy turret. You don't need to attack Baron and give them Baron's damage to help in the fight, use a pink/sweepers to make sure they can't see and then just group in a bush near Baron and wait for them to try to come defend it. If they decide to call the bluff and push, take Baron and recall (you better have the damage to do it fast though). I think the #1 reason a game drags on too much is players constantly try to siege mid tier 2 turret or inhibitor turret and the enemy team has good enough waveclear or positioning to tie the teamfight (drag the game on, stall until they catch up) to prevent you taking the turret. This is when you really need to force a fight at Baron (or take Baron for free).

It's kinda hard to know what you need help with, can you be more specific? Like do you get caught out alot? Having trouble knowing what to do next? Teamfighting?

i go 4-0 in laning phase almost always , after 15-17 minute mark i start dieing a lot like 7-4. i get caught out a lot yes. sometimes dragon is down, blue buff is taken(i play mage), all outer turrets are broken, there is no specific wave build on each side, idk what to do in those situations when there is nothing to do. i try to push a lane and get ganked. i get ganked a lot. and when i play syndra idk what to do in teamfights. thats all.

Alright what you do in that point is that you set up vison in their jungle and camp it with your team. Try buying pinkwards / sweepers and bait the enemy into fights that they don't want.

And if you are pushing a lane and don't have vision you have to be expecting that sooner or later you will get ganked especially if you don't see them on the minimap. But if you are up 4-0 in the laning phase use that advantage to either get more kills, roam to other lanes, get obj with your team generally snowball the game in your favour.

I'm a ADC main and I guess syndra is kinda similar as an adc. Just get of as much damage as possbile, try to hit priority targets with your stun and ultimate while being safe and you should be fine.

Try to coordinate with your team to take objectives together and so forth. A little teamwork goes a long way in soloq.

Chances are you lack positioning. Or you just get a big head because you are so far ahead that you try to take on unfavorable fights because you are so fed.

aside from this, Syndra is like an ADC, she needs to stay in the back line, and often needs sm1 to peel for her.

I have a similar issue, where I can usually get ahead in lane, but I'm bad about pushing my advantages.

It can depend on what lane you're playing, but in general, when you're ahead, you want to try to snowball that lead in other lanes i.e. TP ganks from top, roaming mid, or dragon fights. Being selfish with a lead is the best way to throw it.

ValyrianBlade killed it with that response, I just have one other thing to add. I've found that it helps a lot if you're the one who makes an effort to end the laning phase. it means that the team fights start when you're ready, and therefore you're in them from the start, and getting to know whose strong or not, giving your team an advantage. Take that tower and rotate mid or bot. make the odds in your teams favor and kill people.
