does riot even read suggestions and discussions on board?
no thoughts on this... plain old question..

Yes, a lot of us follow the discussion taking place here. It's a great source of feedback. There are a number of other sources we'll also follow as well of course too including 3rd party sites, other official non English speaking LoL forums, direct data collection etc.

"Damn, the community isn't happy that tanks are steam rolling everyone. Better nerf squishy damage dealers".
I'm pretty sure most people think the misnamed "tank meta" is the most balanced the game has been in quite a while.
yes it is... to counter tanks you need super carries like vayne, kog'maw to counter super carries you need assassins like zed, talon to counter assassins you need tanks and the loop continues... and in between this there are fighters and mages which fill remaining slot perfectly offering variety of cc and sustained laning... this is what we wanted, we will regret when it goes away...
Is there a reason that Rioters are quick to post on some threads and hesitant to comment on others? There are obviously certain posts that are bait or solely meant to get a reaction, but there are others that are passionate, but reasonable that don't get any response.
I think a good example is some of the Veigar threads. While quite a few are barely worth paying any attention to, some are very well written and clearly thought out. Usually these ones are merely asking if Veigar is finished or not. A simple yes or no would work wonders.
Anyways, I digress. What is it that a Rioter looks for in a post before deciding that it is okay to respond or not?

Like this one lol
One of the biggest thing peoples look at to assess whether they should reply or not is whether the topic's one they can talk about in an informed manner. A really general thread such as 'Who's your favorite mid laner?' is something heaps of Rioters will be able to offer valid thoughts on. Something like 'How do you come up with new skin ideas?' by contrast narrows the pool down to mainly just the people on a single team. At the far end of the spectrum there are then questions like 'Why are you changing X skill's damage by Y' which only a few people will be able answer with context on every detail that went into the decision.

Meddler Can you please start replying with general state of balance thoughts so that people can stop having endless debates over which champions are weak and which ones are not? It's kind of ridiculous having to see a constant flood of the same thing over and over again. I feel one good post about the current thoughts on a champion could do a lot in stopping these slug fest of opinion and insults. It would be nice to have a sort of this is where we stand on whether this champion is strong or not.
It would get taken out of context and be misinterpreted. You would get even more annoying threads saying "Look - Riot said so and so, hahahaahhahahaahahhahahahahahah". If you want an example, look at Zed's health.
I'm pretty sure that if he interjected into those conversations he would bias the conversation taking place, at which point he can't use the conversation to learn about what the community thinks about balance. It's often better for them to watch the conversation and adapt their balancing decisions to that rather than interject and state "here is the balance of the game, this is how it is, deal with it".
So, in that regard, who would we speak to regarding the fact that no "Warded" ping has been made?
Makes sense to me. Thanks for responding :)

So, on a normal day, how many threads do you read and ignore?

thank you for the reply :) and now i'll keep my topics so that i can be informed well on that.. but where should we post it or contact you if we want you to shed some light upon the nerfs and buffs, the champion design, and the statistics of a champ, which have a very narrow scope, but are important for an individual if he/she wants to know.. as nowadays people are more of the complaining type regarding the nerf/buff, whereas they should understand the elaborate concept of counterplay...

Do you ever get fed up with reading the same suggestion ("A new Zac skin, Rito pls!") or rants over and over again?
I don't spend a lot of time on Boards but I feel like much of the content tends to repeat, as in "Why is x not y/getting z", skin ideas as mentioned above and complains about nerfs/buffs to that "perfectly balanced/super broken champion".
It must take a lot out of you Rioters on some days...
You say this, but it feels like all changes are down in-house with complete disregard to player feedback. For example, the 4.13 Sona gutting was pushed to live despite unanimous community disapproval, all feedback and suggestions were ignored and even now 10 months later, still complete silence regarding her and refusal of a full revert despite being factually one of the biggest mistakes in Riot's history, as far as my own knowledge goes. Probably at least top 10 considering some stories I've heard like release-week Yorick, League of Black Cleavers, et cetera.
go and ask Riot Repertoir how Taric is going. Im kinda offended that Maokai a later released champion got a vu first... Gems guy needs his rework now im kinda sick of waiting. If he gonna take any longer i just throw him in the thrashbin to make out with Urgot or something.
dat pink taric needs a more manly splash art dont you think?
Yes !! you follow all the discussion and then after 15 minutes y'all together start laughing "Hahaha these fools they write so long topics about new champions and items and better gameplay but they do not know we are not gonna make any of their ides xDDD haha xD"

so you are saying this board sucks so bad even riot employees go other places for info...
I'd prefer it if they didn't, tbh.
Just because they do not respond, does not mean they don't read. They're called 'lurkers' for a reason.
how could u know that
Well I could ask you the same question. How could you NOT know that?
Because Rioters have come out saying that they do just that.
Yeah when they feel down and need a laugh. :^)
