Meddler why is it OK for Teemo to have all that lane bully potential but not for Gnar?

If you stand behind minions Teemo has more range and cant be evaded. Teemos Dart has always more Damage. Gnar can jump and Teemo run. Teemo has only 35hp more and after Level 3 he has more base HP and Armor for the rest of the Game. Plus free annoying Teemo wards, plus Toxic shot costs also no mana and has still more lane bully potential than the Boomerang.

I’m not saying the nerfs are god or bad, but if you nerf Gnar you have to nerve Teemo to.

Because Teemo isn't a CC tank. Lategame, he's a world more useless.

And Teemo needs a rework anyway. Gnar doesn't.

Gnar's CC either has a huge delay Q/W or is situational (R)... If you're caught by him chances are high you're out of position. Especially since there's a big indicator when he's about to evolve and mini Gnar has neither hard CC nor an ultimate.

One reason is that Teemo is absolutely useless in a teamfight outside of maybe putting down a shroom or two, blinding a guy, then running away and acting as bait. (Could be wrong, but that's the way I see his kit)

Gnar, on the other hand, has a Mega Form which is GREAT for team fights, and his ultimate is arguably one of the best team fight ultimates in the game.

So if Gnar is a lane bully, then he's a lane bully with a good late game (And we all know how much people LOVE those). If Teemo is a lane bully, then he's useful during some part of the game.

EDIT: And Teemo is just kind of an old champion who, honestly, I don't see getting a rework soon. I mean yeah he COULD use one, but if they made him any less annoying/frustrating (Which is the goal of a rework), it'd almost feel like we've lost something. So much Teemo hate lost because his rhetorical rework made him less hateable.

Teemo also KS's so bad; if he aa's, he has a chance of KS'ing which makes him annoying for both teams in the the teamfight. He also only has a single target cc, otherwise you have to bait them into his only other cc, aka his 'shrooms, which is... less than optimal. Yeah, he's a big top lane bully, but that's it. You can survive a lane bully and still take game, but if your team has the equivalent of a 4.5 v 5 in a teamfight, your job gets a lot harder.

Unless the enemy laner feeds so bad early game that the Teemo can start melting faces off, but that doesn't happen so often.

Not a great comparison since Teemo doesn't transition from a lane bully to a monster tank with massive utility.

Because that's all teemo has. He's bad in team fights and generally garbage late game. Couldn't carry a pillow.

A vast majority of players is just bad at tactical decisions, even though their mechnical skill is fine.

The amount of players who don't care about Gnar's rage gauge and wallhug when he's about to transform is overwhelming. You wouldn't wallhug against Poppy or Vayne, why against Gnar?

Gnar is a threat for 12 seconds every 2 minutes, at every other point he's just a 3 ability champion with no killing potentital... It's still saddening how many people allow themselves to get baited to go all in when he's about to evolve..

Well, maybe it's just that I know how to play Gnar, that might it easy for me to play against him as well... I completely destroyed the last Gnar I faced, killed him 6 times in lane - on my own (I was Lissandra).

Most people are just too impatient, or stupid, to stay put when his rage nears 80%...

But better cry for nerfs for your own fails amrite? Counterplay vs Gnar is so easy...

  • When he uses Q - aim for his catch path. You either get a free hit, or he gets 16s cooldown allowing you to deny him
  • Go all in when the creeps just arrived, that way his escape is a weak joke
  • He's a God damn 3 ability champion when his rage isn't full. You have your ultimate, mini Gnar can't all in unless he's fed (or about to evolve)
  • Don't wallhug when he is about to evolve
  • Kite Mega Gnar into oblivion, he's so God damn slow
  • You can control is rage gain via poke

The PBE Gnar nerfs are a.) exaggerated b.) too soon

I can see him being forced into unviability in 1 month after the nerfs roll out. Now that Gnar is more popular people learn to play against him, that's all which is needed. Once people now how to approach him he'll drop a tier or two. With the PBE nerfs rolling out that's just to much for him to remain a pick against semi-decent players...

Incomming downvotes by people too dumb to read yellow, red warning gauge... I hope for your own sake that you never face a traffic light....

Teemo doesnt build full tank and chain CC your entire team

Dude, Twitch is like, Teemo 2.0. Does he need a nerf too? He's got an aoe slow that poisons, his poison stacks and does true damage, he can go stealthed whenever he wants and still move in stealth, and his ult changes his auto attack to be freaking deadly. I don't see him going top any time soon, but compare both to Gnar, and things get messy. Gnar is much more versatile; he has two ability sets, and his second has so much cc it's ridiculous. You can't really compare the two with stuff like damage and armor.

If you want my opinion, I think you should buy a sweeping lens, build some magic resist and deal with it. Teemo is really squishy, so gank him twice and he'll fall behind. :|

Gnar has so much counterplay.

You can dodge his skillshoot or just stand behind minions, you can wait till his Mega is gone before you start a teamfight, you you can just not stand next to a wall.

But no better cry because of a champion who has THE WORST tank stats in the game and can change that only for 12 random seconds.

Oh and he has a stun... Hell what do you guys do against champions like Nautilus, Wukong or Malphite who can do that without all that positioning and timing?

I think he deserves some early power for all the counterplay his kit has.
