Rework for Sightstone + Enchantments Idea

This idea was inspired by this thread: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/lrdRlzyV-proposal-for-sightstone-enchantments

Hello fellow summoners, I have an idea that was inspired by the thread creator above. What the idea is reworking Sightstone and giving it enchantments, like the creator of the first thread suggested. However, I felt their idea is a bit off with Sightstone. I felt there could be a way more interesting gameplay experience within this idea.

What I suggest to do with Sightstone with the idea of Enchantments is make it where every role could buy a sightstone effectively, however there must be a downside to getting this so everyone on the team won't buy just 1 and have shit tons of wards on you.

I feel like this idea will fix the problem of "I have no space for wards". So let's go into the idea.

Sightstone This item will now cost 450G. It'll only come with 3charges of wards, just like old sightstone but with no hp and 1 less ward charge.

You cannot have more than 1 sightstone item at a time

Sightstone of Vigor Cost: 1900G Recipe: Giant's Belt(1000G) + Sightstone(450G) + 450G Stats:

  • 500HP
  • 4 Ward Charges(Active)

Sightstone of Havoc Cost: 1900G Recipe: Pick Axe(875G) + Sightstone(450G) + 575G Stats:

  • 40AD
  • 4Ward Charges(Active)

Sightstone of Voodoo Cost: 1900G Recipe: Blasting Wand(860G) + Sightstone(450G) + 590G StatsL

  • 70AP
  • 4Ward Charges(Active)

Sightstone of Auxiliary Cost: 1200G Recipe: Sightstone(450G) + 750G Stats:

  • 5% Movespeed
  • Allows you to place 4 wards instead of 3(Passive)
  • 5Ward Charges(Active)

This allows every role to buy a sightstone item, however it costs a bit of the stat they want. So they are less effective, but are more safe. This allows for discussion and strategy in: What people will buy a sightstone item and which will not? It also helps lanes who end up being behind they could also buy it to be more useful and it allows for the option of: Should we be stronger but add more risk? Or be weaker and reduce the risk of walking the jungle, etc.

What do you guys think?

Anythiing to make the support/team want to buy the item more is okay with me. I saw the idea before and really liked it. Though, I think the price needs to go up so they are less gold efficient and not a 2nd-3rd buy for the entire team.

2100 Gold is probably the highest it could go and that's probably really stretching it.

I think it may be a little dangerous opening the doors for every build to have a sightstone, so I'm not sure a SS should have AP or AD - I don't think it should fit neatly into damage or heavy tank builds (so no armor / MR). I still think we should only really see Supports and Junglers take a SS. Even laners buy some wards, and at 450g they'd only have to place 6 wards to break even. The only thing keeping more people from buying a SS, IMO, is that the health would be relatively useless to them.

Definitely needs to have more than health though (getting a SS on Soraka blows). Maybe one with Mana Regen, the movespeed sounds cool too. Things Junglers and Supports want and can use but a laner can't really afford to buy into without risking being weaker in their matchup.

As I said in the other post, it's not like support wouldn't need more stats, the point is that giving them more stats because they are gold starved and cannot purchase them kinda defeats the purpose of the shared lane identity.

The reasoning behind my enchantments idea was to just make supports a little stronger to compensate how season 5 impacted them, but a welfare check-enchantment is not the way to go.

Because of that, the original enchantments idea were to make tank supports stronger in team, and mage supports faster in following their team when peeling or applying cc.
