The top 10 OP champions should have a hunger games.

Destaice··79 votes·5,244 views

Essentially this.

The top 10 champions we currently consider to be overpowered will have an intermediate AI version made. They will all spawn in dominion at level 18 with full build. The AI's goal will be to kill the other AI without dying.

The winner, or last one standing, will receive Riot's blessing and avoid nerfs till the next games. The other 9 will receive a beating by the nerf bat.

Really, though, they have a battle between the most OP champions in every region every week; it's called the LCS.

I mean, it what scenario would you realistically expect pros to not play whatever champions are the strongest in whatever the current meta is? Plus, thus far, this season of LCS has been the most diverse one yet overall.

And for as much shit as the community gives the balance team, that is to their credit. Yeah, there's little things—Gnar is a little overtuned right now was a little overtuned before 5.3, and Ez requires so much skill he'll never get nerfed, and it seems like every team picks Maokai for some reason—but there's nobody broken like mid Janna and I'm pretty happy seeing new champs in most games.

Give or take the most OP non-champ in the game: BANS!

I mean seriously, bans beat every champ in the game, even the top 10 champs you were talking about.

True. I forgot that.

Riot will probably rig it so lee sin wins

not a starburst17 votes

They won't need to rig it.

TheRainInSpain16 votes

But they'd rig it anyways just in case.

Junkο15 votes

I think this is already implemented and Lee always wins

Nameless Voice7 votes

That would mean that the overall strongest champion would never get nerfed.

Oh, wait. LeeSin

LeeDark5 votes

Actually, Lee Sin gets screwed here because it is jumped straight to late game, without a team to back him up. Kalista, Azir, Gnar, and maybe Ahri beat him in that scenario.

Meep Man5 votes

Based on a combination of pick rate and win rate, that would be...

Ahri Katarina Sivir Jinx Vi JarvanIV Leona Janna Blitzcrank Annie

Each of these have a pick rate above 11% and have a win rate above 52%. I can immediately say that Janna isn't winning. The people with the highest chances of winning are Ahri, Sivir, Vi, Jarvan, and Annie with Blitzcrank and Jinx coming in close behind.

demonsnake4204 votes

What do you mean by 'OP' champions? Do you mean the ones the boards always whine about or the ones that are actually consistently in the top 10 of win-rates?

Silents4293 votes

I don't know why you were being downvoted, this is pretty accurate.

Because whenever one disagrees with the general boards community on balance, even remotely, they downvote. How dare I suggest that maybe, just maybe, the likes of Lee Sin and Zed and Thresh aren't actually broken. But seriously, if the op's idea went through and it was the consistently top 10 strongest champions then the boards would be really disappointed. Zed, Yasuo, Thresh, Lee Sin, Kalistia, etc. would not be in it.

RexZor3 votes

In "Meta Terms" (Although i only think Zed is Op) It would be Zed Ahri JarvanIV Vi Gnar Kalista Janna Thresh LeeSin Azir TBH It would be between Zed, Gnar, And Kalista

disregardable2 votes

I think it would depend on how aggressive the AI is early, to be honest. Would Jarvan and Ahri press their early game advantage? What happens if no one gets kills before Vi gets her ult? What if neither support helps Kalista? Could go any way.

they all start at level 18 in crystal scar im basing it all on the ability to do damage and avoid damage , so accounting that Zed Kalista and Gnar would be the three to survive. Ahri will lose to zed if he plays right, Kalista can literally dodge all her abilites, and gnar can kite then go super tanky. J4 has very few moves to deal with a Zed, Kalista, and Gnar. Vi Is a close 4th i just thinks she gets outclassed Maybe she could enter the top 3. Janna and thresh are supports. Lee sin is strong be he is skill shot dependent and kalista and zed can dodge while gnar can dodge and become tanky. Azir damage is ridiculous but the top 3 can easily work around him.

LeeDark5 votes

Um, no. Kalista would have NO ult. There is no way she wins that with Vi in the pool.

Ahri does not lose to Zed. That's one of the reasons she is a first pick in the LCS now. She has high damage since the buffs, and she is extremely mobile. They both hit six and Zed can't assassinate her because she is actually more mobile than him. All she has to do is dash away, charm back at him, and blow him up, using the other two dashes to dodge away from him chasing or casting Q.

Azir at level 18 with full build ABSOLUTELY makes the top 3. NOBODY in the pool can even get close to him. Despite having skillshots, Kalista can't take him on because his range with soldiers is greater than hers, and he'll literally two-shot her. No one in the pool outranges him, and all the melees with gap-closers get destroyed by his ult. Only Zed would have a shot, and he'd have to get the jump on Azir with Azir's ult on cooldown.

Arandallian2 votes

played right vi beats the azir up...

Auryiel1 votes

Vi ults, Azir uses Zhonya's, uses his ult as soon as he's out of it and proceeds to wreck her

There's no reason he should ever be close enough to a bush to get hit by her Q and have her follow it up with her R

Azir could just sit near one of the cap points and wait for everyone to try and get him

OyddAWqJ5r1 votes

Why would Vi target the Kalista first? She'd get targeted by the others while she's distracted by Kalista and then after killing her would have no ult to use on anyone else.

Why would Vi target the Kalista first? ...

Because Kalista is the ADC. You ALWAYS target the ADC first.

LeeDark1 votes

Because someone with skillshots who CAN'T beat Kalista would ally with Vi to do it.

To be fair. [A good] Janna has always been a top tier support. She's not called the "queen of peel" for nothing.

She's really not an issue though. Since the only one competing with her directly is Braum. And every other support brings other tools to the table.

Really? Every darius i had is at least decent, some really good.I mean, during laning phase, just dont die. during teamfight phase all a darius would have to do to be "decent" is ult whenever an enemy is low health. reset, then repeat. if ult is down, E->Q a low health opponent. get kills. profit

hard to really feed as darius unless intentional, even then its hard

I'm guessing Lee Sin already won and continues to win this. Has Zed won anytime in the past,or did his attack speed nerf count?

X Frady2 votes

There's something like that, its called LCS, and Lee Sin always wins

FyreNinja1 votes

Kalista is nothing without her soul-bound. Zed can destroy her no matter how much she kites, AND she loses her W passive without an ally.

Undeadmerlin3 votes

There were alliances in hunger game, so i assume if thresh made it into this she could soul bind with him.

lDontLiftIcarry1 votes

welp gg then broken percentage damage champions auto win.

53872273_DEL1 votes

That is kinda hard because what about if you kill each other with ignite?

LeeDark1 votes

No... if you are going to do that, at least make it non-AI. That would just be so dumb. The top 10 champions should be played by the pro who is considererd the best at that champion, they spawn in Dominion like you said, and have a free-for-all broadcast on Twitch. The pros would have an incentive to keep their champion from getting nerfed, because winning would effectively be perma-banning the other players from one of their best champions. Streaming it on Twitch would be much more interesting than just having AI play a game and see which idiot AI manages to survive.

The Bearded Bard1 votes

But champions are OP in different ways, it's not all about who kills the best. Kalista is OP because of her unlimited stacking on baron/drag. Thresh is just an overloaded support. Lee's too mobile.

It's not all about kills.
