League does not feel the same any more

So I have been playing for a while now with the new patches, and I have to say. The game changed so much. I feel like I don't have to use my skills much. All I have to do is make sure my team gets drag 3 times, and most of the games its a win. I guess my point is the game feels like it just evolves around drag and baron now. you don't need to worry about gold much any more. I am not a fan of this idea. I miss when you had to play more smart, and be quick. Now the game just feels dumb down, and tanks also feel like they took a big hit. I mean is it just me or do any of you feel the same way?

I know what you mean. But to you does it feel like it evolves around buffs now more and less worry about the gold? Just wondering what you think.

It still only takes a single pick to take a turret and a single teamfight to take an inhib/push to win lategame.

As great as Dragons are, they don't make people not walk through the unwarded jungle past the 30 min mark.

Very true. But most games I see. every one goes for that darg and worry less about the lanes, and such. Even if you lose like 3 towers as long as you have those buffs it seems to be a win even with the loss of lanes.

I think there's too much power in baron and dragon. I feel Riot has attempted to add a layer of depth to the game, but as far as I can see my games have now been much longer, and much harder to end. It's like you're guaranteed to have these long standoffs over objectives for minutes at a time, and it's so boring!!!!!!! You can't leave the standoff because then the enemy takes the objective, but if you stay neither team goes in! It's so frustrating!

I think I'm going to be playing league less until we get the balance right on dragon and baron. Imo, both are too valuable right now, and that's a problem. Players should play and win games based on the value they bring to the game, not the value they get from baron/dragon.

I think they should change the buff or lower it. I mean I don't want to game to be all about those buffs. I don't mind long games, but I hate the idea you have to worry about buffs now. I thought the point was out play.

They need to reduce the number of buffs. Games are getting stalled out way too long to get additional buffs. I think giving people a % buff, and then granting them gold on every dragon thereafter would be better. This way both teams would still be interested in getting the dragon, but it wouldn't be a thing you would want to pace the game around. Dragon should always be a means to an end, but I feel that in its current state a lot of people are viewing Dragon as being more important than the end game. I know that doesn't make sense to read, but in games I see too many people going to do dragon instead of going to an inhibitor or a tower. Towers should ALWAYS be worth more than any single dragon.

I agree. towers should be worth more, but right now I feel one drag = 2 towers. I mean ether way it goes they have taken the focus off towers for the most part. Once those buffs are on stack 3 you could lose most of the towers, and turn the game around easy unless they have hard cc, but most of the time its not hard to just ace, and then finish. Even though you have 3 towers left.

Towers should ALWAYS be worth more than any single dragon.

Why? Ideally, there should be games and strategies where either one can be a more effective objective, so you are rewarded for the strategic sense to know what to go for.

Yeah it feels like everything is centred around dragon rotations and baron grabs rather than outplaying the enemy with skill and teamwork. Whoever gets dragons stacks win (theres that mobility creep that they claim doesn't exist).

And yeah it feels like tanking is becoming more and more difficult what with the nerfs to MR or late and the bloody penetration power of Void staff and last whisperer.

I disagree. I've won a significant enough amount of games where we didnt get baron and drag much/sometimes never, and won games where the enemy was mobbing them both all game and still lost
