Am I the only jungler who feels that Krugs are very unneeded & unnecessary to clear?

Most of the time, I usually start with blue or Gromp, and when I get to clear the red side camps, I always skip the Krugs because of the distance it takes to travel around the wall, or that it's buff is not even dependable in teamfights. Lemme list out the usefulness in camp buff just to clarify:

Gromp- A pretty good buff to aid tanky junglers to have that "kind-of-a-baby-thornmail" defense.

Wolves- One of my favourite buffs. It's a pretty good asset when I need to always check for counter-junglers, especially Evelynn.

Raptors- Also a good buff when I need to be clear if enemy has warded their bush or not, since I always take the yellow trinket early game for early visions, & dragon control.

Krugs- About 99% of it is only useful on clearing just the camps, while that 1% for minions, which clearly isn't of any use at all. It can't even be used for dragons & barons too, while rendering it utter useless against champions.

So it's clear that Krugs aren't of any use in terms of teamfights, only beneficial for it's stun passive on monsters for AA-reliant champs like Xin or Nunu. So here are a couple of solution I can think of, and of course, you don't have to accept it if it isn't right.

Solution 1:

Change the back wall to the other side, that way, transversing from red to krugs, or vice-versa, would be a lot easier & takes less time to travel. I mean, raptor's wall gets to face away from mid lane, why not the Krugs' as well?

Solution 2:

Adding a new passive to it:

New Passive: Every 6th hit would have special effects taking place:

  • If 6th hits on a monster, it would stun for 1 second, while also reducing it's damage by 15% for the next 2 attacks the monster deals.
  • If 6th hits on a champion, it would reduce his damage by 10% for 1 seconds, but the stun will not apply.

Lemme know what you guys think.

Krugs have their place. That place is the first clear of a jungler with an autoattack reset/buff, such as MasterYi, Warwick, Jax, RekSai, or Rengar.

Other than that? Yeah. Kind of useless, save for having something to do top lane.

I'd be fine with allowing the Krugs' buff to affect enemy champions in a small way, but I do believe that buff is far from useless and unnecessary. The buff serves a purpose similar to Gromp's for junglers that want red buff before blue. It doesn't help with clear time; instead, it helps with survivability. The Krugs themselves are probably the worst camp in terms of damage taken compared to gold earned, but they're not a major problem as they are (the Raptors were far worse offenders, being the favorite camp for poaching and hungry midlaners).

The true damage on towers does seem a little odd, but so does the Wolves' buff, in a way. You're far more likely to lose your red buff to poachers than your blue because blue is always in high demand (unless your jungler, mid laner, and close-by sidelaner are all manaless), yet the Wolves' sentry spirit guards blue side.

One issue with adding another effect to Gift of Heavy Hands is the issue of smite-using top laners. A tanky top laner that relies on attack speed (ex: Trundle) might be problematic if he/she was to frequently have that buff.

Well krugs are necessary for getting a 4 when full clear and buff is very useful for fail junglers who often start it.

"fail junglers" = "AS-based junglers or anyone that wants red first but doesn't want to burden his or her teammates for a hard leash"
