As a Kassadin main I find it extremely hard to keep up with this meta's champions.

For example, having a Vlad, Hecarim or a Vi against you basically tells you that you're gonna be useless until you get your 4th item. And the enemy team's adc will still deal more damage with one AA than your full combo. Not I'm not tilted or anything, in fact I find this as a good chance to start maining other champions and expand my pool. But this still needs to be resolved. Nevertheless my damage late game is pretty huge but getting to that point is nearly impossible when you have such a hard CC, hard damaging and extremely tanky champions atm. Not to mention the "Tank-Mage-1 shot Possibly highly mobile" thing. I think Riot needs to balance this area.

Getting to that point is also not really worth it when literally every other champion in the game is a "late game" champion.

I started playing Kassadin not long ago (just got mastery lvl6) and i feel like he is kind of like that in every game. You are pretty weak until you get a few items. But i am fine with that. I found him quite difficult not mechanically but decisionmaking wise and i always loved champions with simplistic kits that managed to be hard to play well.

Neverthless i get what you are saying especially about tankiness. It often feels like meta juggernauts / divers are just as hard to kill as full tanks while they deal more damage than an Assassin building glass cannon. It gets frustrating sometimes.

(I know it doesn't have a lot to do with what you are trying to tell but Vlad specifically is not meta. He has the worst winrate among toplaners and third to worst winrate mid. He is incredibly underperforming now.)

I know it feels hard to play him, but Kassadin is consistently one of the strongest champions in the game.

I think the main thing is you gotta appreciate the slow on his e more and focus less on trying to pick up a ton of kills for yourself.
