Why... I can't imagine anyone trying to learn him. He is currently much, much weaker. I hope Riot considers buffing his passive cap.

I'm wondering if it's mostly just ryze players having a bit of bad luck considering what a minority they are right now. Last I remember ryze was pretty powerful and nothing really changed for him.

Idk honestly, just it suprises me seeing one of the strongest champs for the longest time randomly become lowest w/r despite no recent nerfs. I guess he could use a buff but at the same time if ryze is the same as I remember buffing him would be a mistake.

Faker single handedly caused Ryze to be nerfed.

Lol... it's funny because it's literally true that ONE GUY caused an entire champion getting gutted.

I partly blame the shift to his skillshot Q, because despite being ranged, in lane with an enemy minion line, his Q is almost useless against any melee champions. Yet it's still the skill which you need to level up in order to increase his passive buff duration. You're in this awkward spot where you either gimp your whole kit by maxing something other than Q first or you sacrifice poke damage to have any good chance of stacking up your passive.
