How can I get an S rank on Kog'Maw

So I've had Kog'Maw level 6 for a while now. I had to suck up my pride and play him support to get the S- ranks for level 6. But no matter what I do, where I go, I can't seem to get an S rank on him. Like I've gone 13/0 and gotten an A+. My CS is decent if not above average normally for my rank (Bronze 1, I can usually get 100 cs at around 15 minutes). But I still can't get an S. Is there anything I can change to push from the A+ range to the S range? Or should I just swallow my pride and play him support.

Kill particpation/objective particpation/warding/ward clearing amongst other things are factors beyond your kda and cs. (Also keep in mind the grades are based on your performance in the role on that champ compared to people across all elos, not just compared to other bronze. The cs you mention is probably ok as long as you maintain that cs/min into mid/late though.)

I wouldn't necessarily assume that playing in the support role is going to be easier S ranks.

As Kog'Maw. It's easier to get S rank on support. However I also might get reported if I do that.....

You'd be compared to all other kogmaw supports. There's probably not very many of those so standards are relatively low, but they're low because it is unlikely to work very well, given all you offer that's support-y is a slow and some potential armour shred. If you/your team end up getting destroyed due to a lack of the utility a more traditional support offers, then thats going to be reflected in your stats and probabuly still result in a poor grade.

If you're a support main or something you might be able to work around it, but it sounds like you're used to playing kog in a carry fashion, and playing as a carry in the support role rarely works out.

I mean he has a 51% slow on his e at max rank, his q removes some armor / mr from the enemy, and his ult grants vision in an aoe area. I could see how he kinda can be a support, hell support Miss Fortune was a thing that was played in the lcs lol.

So wait, If I get a sightstone mid lane and use it a ton, would that make it more likely for me to get an S rank O.o

There's a lot of factors, you need to do well in all of them compared to others on the same champ in the same role. If you got a sightstone as mid kog, then your warding stats would probably be better than the majority of other mid kogs, however I suspect you'd fall short in various other aspects (as after all, you'd be down a damage item as a result).
