Honestly, the armor nerfs don't look like they'll be unbearable when 5.16 hits. Now that we're getting huge bonuses to buying health like Warmogs' new passive, Zz'rot Portal's new minion scalings and Titanic Hydra's on-hit damage, it looks like the focus is shifting slightly from buying resists to buying health and getting synergies.

That and with Dead Man's Plate in Randuin's Omen won't necessarily be a must-buy anymore.

Its almost always better to build armour over Health, 3.5k health and 300 armour will make you live longer than 8.5k health and 50. against Physical damage.

Not that it really matters when Vayne has >1/3 pick rate anyway. Riot is also really loving Percent health true damage with Fiora and Garen both have it.

Omen? Sure it lost some HP and armor, but it now has crit reduction. The crit reduction is something I've seen people ask for for a long time and yet now that it is here nobody says anything about it.

Because you can just buy Ninja Tabi and it would be better than a crit damage reduction.

Not to mention that Ninja Tabi can effectively give you up to 50-200 bonus armor, depending on how much armor you had originally.

If you think armor items didn't need a nerf you have never tried to play an adc that wasn't vayne thornmail is just dumb when a tank can buy it and not die to adcs ever.

item 3035 + item 3153 or item 3072 completely shreds through current thornmail. There is no amount of armor that will stop a late game ADC, not saying there should be but this is already a thing. And they go ahead and make armor some sort of cheap ass bootleg item that costs a lot more than its worth with completely nerfed stats.

graves build: item 3153 item 3026 item 3140 item 3006 item 3102 (21-9-0)

Amumu's build: item 3724 item 1314 item 3190 item 3001 item 3110 item 3151 (21-9-0)

but it shows that even with AP masteries how tanky Amumu was with just a item 3110 and amumu the only defenses runes where 9-greater seals of armor.. so he had +9 armor..

Thornmail was strong. But that was it. ADC's still had/have strong damage.

most adcs are trash atm not sure if you actually play adc but there is about 4 viable ones and the rest are pretty trash lucian twitch and mf are prime examples of aweful adcs right now.

That's mostly because of Sated champions being able to dive and deal too much damage. Not because ADC's are weak. The ones that are strong are the ones who can deal with this problem or grant enough to the team to justify their being picked.

Vayne for example is strong now because she has such massive self peel. Not because of her true damage. Before Sated was strong she was considered trash by many people. %hp true damage and trash in a tank meta.

Whenever Riot gets around to making Sated more balanced you'll see ADC's becoming stronger. Which will lead to nerfs.

Vayne has been quite strong for some time, adcs were pretty bad in the tank meta to other then sivir vayne jinx Try playing ezreal or lucian vs 4 k health tanks good luck lol

Lucian's been in a bad spot for a while. Although never terrible.

Ezreal is good for poke comps. Not so much teamfighting ones. He also can do some strong burst. I'm surprized he isn't getting more play now. He can self peel decently.

Vayne didn't do well in the tank meta because it had more CC and AoE. She wasn't weak. Just not great. She was often considered weak. But was more "OK".

ADC's were still very important in the tank meta either way. Since they still had the best chance of killing tanks. Tank meta had more viable ADCs than we do now IMO.

and imo the gap between mid-bottom tier adcs and jinx vayne sivir is ridiculous i don't remember the last time i saw a graves or lucian or twitch beat any of the top tier adcs because of how bad they are at team fighting in general or atrocious laning phases.

Its almost like a late game tank shouldn't get instantly blown up by a late game adc...their entire purpose in life is to not die quickly and disrupt things.

which they do for like 40 minutes of a game they are usually stronger and can 1v1 a adc i don't see the problem

yeah and his post about good armor items right now every armor item is ridiculously better than any mr item which is dumb because if a ad champ gets fed you can shut them down easy but if an ap gets fed like annie or ahri she just takes over with ease

I mean most of APs operate under "burst or fail" rule.

Even most feed AP caster just can't burst down a tank

On other hand constant damage from ADCs can easily kill tank. Problem is they do it far to fast (or at least they did before cinderhulk). Right now we are stepping into dangerous road to "3 hits to kill AP, 4 to kill TANK" meta...

And then Vik is just simple burst-or-fail champion.

While Kog is immobile squishy cannon, which works as either deadly anti-tank or adc. Can't build him for both roles tbh.
