Grade system needs some tuning.

Note:Sorry if this is long, I like to be thorough in my wording.

When writing this I just finished a game where I went NunuNunu mid and carried my team with a 13/1/12 and got an S-. I know kda isn't the only factor in how grades are determined, but the way I played this game compared to the grade I got, I feel, is disproportionate. Now before I get into this I want to make this clear: I am not trying to whine saying I've been robbed, nor am I asking to be handed the token that I feel I missed out due to this. I simply want to point out the implications I see from this game and the grade system, and talk about what needs to change. I hope a riot member will see I make a good case and also come to the conclusion something needs to change.

Getting into the problem, it could be one of two things. The first being that NunuNunu is considered a support, so me playing him a tanky mage in mid lane might be causing a miss-match in the data for the grading system(probably valuing assists as much higher and cs and kills much lower). Of course I don't know the criteria so I can't say for certain, that being said I agree with the Riot staff's reasoning for not telling us it. The other problem might be that my kill participation or kda was too low, which again I can't tell, and I feel this is probably less likely.

Knowing that there will be people saying that I probably had shortcomings in other areas I will add that I had a cs of 192; had a killing spree of 12; had a kill participation of 25/40; was involved in taking 2 dragons and a baron(3/4 of our epic monsters); had the highest damage output on my team with 53.3k, and TeemoTeemo , our next highest damager had 35.2k. On top of these easy to read statistics, which i assume the grading system takes at least most of these into account, I warded up and down river for the team(highest ward placement) and took scuttle crabs for the team multiple times, stole enemy buffs, participated in taking towers, and let allies take last hit on enemy champs so they could catch up. The major implications I see due to, what i see to be overwhelmingly good stats and game, is that if someone wants to get an S for mastery level 7(like I had wanted in that game) they either have to play the niche role assigned by the meta or play where they want, ks teammates, don't let there be a possibility of dying, and don't share kills with team. That is the problem I am seeing, when things like this happen and people are on the edge of mastery 7, they give up being a team player to try to become a fed god. Their entire team could be 0/10/0 but they wouldn't let them have a kill because it might ruin their only chance to get a token, and that is both a shame in many ways. I gave kills to my team's TeemoTeemo and GarenGaren , they even said sorry for ks(although again, I wanted them to do that), but one fed player with a team that's behind has a lot lower chance of winning then a fed player with a team that's decently fed. So the fact that it seems i shouldn't do that if I want my token seems to encourage unsportsmanlike behavior and takes away from the fact that the person just had very possibly the best game of their life. I know that I could be completely wrong, and that my statistics might be sub-par in actuality; although again I doubt this mainly because I've gotten an S+ before(in support role) and that it would seem to be impossibly high standards if I am wrong. Regardless, the fact that it at least seems that way encourages people who value the champion mastery system to be unsportsmanlike to achieve it, which in turn creates a bad playing environment as teammates give up the win to attempt to get a token. Another message one could take from an experience like this is: It doesn't matter if it works in other roles, the system won't recognize it so just play it in it's usual role. This is also a bad interpretation to take because it stifles what I think is one of the better things about the game; being able to take a champion in multiple directions, so that games aren't just different based on which champion you play, but also how you build them.

Again not trying to rant, these things happen and I could be wrong; not trying to ask for the token I feel I lost, that would be unreasonable and create a precedent of people making these posts to get tokens. All I'm trying to say is that I believe there is a pretty obvious problem with supports and the grade system still, I know it was said you would fix it in 6.14 patch(although not sure if you did) but it definitely needs some work still. To pinpoint the problem I would say that it is most likely a problem when support/tank roles(which NunuNunu is considered both) are played in a team carrying fashion. Although less likely the problem might lie in the fact NunuNunu just got a change to his Q popularizing him, also creating a stat mismatch in the grade system. In either case the problem could be fixed by making sure the grades aren't limited to specific roles(including both ones you assign, and the meta assigns), otherwise this could just keep happening. As an example, if I am right about where the issue lies, EkkoEkko could start to have this be a huge problem after the assassin update, seeing as Riot wanted to prevent people from being tank EkkoEkko.

Update: Got 7/0/9 on this game http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2335854809/209800917?tab=overview and got A-, while a jhin 10/1/8 gets an S. Is there something obvious I'm not getting here about grades or can someone agree with me that this is a broken system?
