Was anyone surprised by a Nautilus support

When I first play Nautilus I only used him as a support. I thought he was somewhat like Leona, but with kit that's better at peeling. So, why is it such a surprise now that he can support.

I liked him as support as a counter to leona/braum before the buffs

No.

He's been rocking as a top support for a while now.

And I won't enjoy seeing him more than I already did.

I have one friend that's been playing support Nauty for quite a while now, so, no. The two primary support tanks are tanks with tons of CC for peel and engage... Thresh and Leona. Nautilus follows that same paradigm; it was only a matter of time before the pros tried him out as a support. I just hope Riot doesn't wreck him as a jungler/solo laner for being a good support.
