Why are dodge timers so high?

So having a get out of jail free card that doesn't cost you any MMR is a bad thing in terms of dealing with lobby trolls?

Back in seasons 1 and 2 it used to also cost you MMR to dodge... In other words, it cost you ranking to dodge a match. They changed this partially to assist players with dealing with precisely that type of scenario. Its not ideal... but its way better than what was in place the first 2 seasons. Use your dodges, they cost nothing but time.

Well for most people, Riot or Tencent figures that anyone who dodges a queue is obviously trolling and has no one in real life tying them down.
